LOL.
They believe in a "soviet armor" approach to submarine warfare. Lots of mediocre boats to throw at our carriers when the time comes for them to take TW. They may be testing their "mediocrity", so as to find their own weakness before engagement.
Off the top, but it works...
Have a good night ladies and gents....
You guys take care and have a great day tomorrow!
Aren't there major American naval assets in Okinawa? Why weren't they detected by our antisub devices? Why did the japs pick up on this threat first? Or did we just toss them the ball for the followup? IOW, we detect the bogey and give it over to indigenous forces to check out? I'm foggy on my geography. How strategic is Okinawa? What would be the future use for data collected from such a recon?
What was it? I got a page deleted or moved message.
The one I posted with just a link was in Arabic...I don't read it. There were several pics and .gifs though. One was referenced in a reply by Cindy, the others were of OBL with Arabic writing, and then the .gif I lifted.
Wasnt there a threat to the USS Kitty Hawk a while back? Kitty Hawk is based in Okinawa.

No.
This non-Arabic speaking person (who sees a lot of gut wrenching and anger producing graphics daily) will not speculate on the meaning; HOWEVER; I'm sure the experts will.

"Fallujah_liberation_brigade · Fallujah Liberation Brigade" Description
Category: Iraq
In April 2004 a few good men revolted in the iraqi city Fallujah against the mighty US Army.
These brave men, later called mujahedin by the local population, took controll of the city.
The american forces tried but never succeded in capturing Fallujah.
The mujahedin of Fallujah had no names. There were no groups and no nationalities. They were muslims.
Fallujah became a legend and this group will try to keep that legend alive and promote it. We also support the iraqi struggle for liberation. We are against the american occupation.
Long Live Fallujah

Lambert: City in an LNG safety zone
FALL RIVER -- If the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approves Hess LNGs proposal to construct a liquefied natural gas facility in the city, the Coast Guard will not be able to enforce already existing safety and security zones for "high-interest vessels" such as LNG tankers on the Taunton River, making the companys plan "inappropriate," said Mayor Edward M. Lambert Jr.
