As I and many of my fellow expatriates are often hard pressed to get any non-biased information from the media (we are often stuck with CNN-International!!), I have decided to start this thread in the tradition of the Operation Iraqi Freedom Situation Room threads. I hope this meets with the approval of Jim & John and the Admin guys . . .
The purpose of this thread is to be a place to collect information from all sources into one area for discussion. Specific threads for specific topics and cross linking are highly encouraged.

I just voted. The turnout here in Bush Country is great. Polls opened at 6 am. I got there at exactly 6 am. Voting took place in a building behind a church, and the line was all the way to the street. I was in line for 40 minutes, and there were 12 voting booths. Most of the voters here are voting for Bush.

Also in the Columbus area, suburbs! My husband went to vote at 6:30, at least 2000 people in line!!! This is a precinct that is Bush all the way and one that the longest wait, in the past, has been five minutes! GO BUSH!!! After the Bush victory, should we send a message to The Guardian in the UK thanking them for ensuring a Bush victory in Ohio with their stupid and counterproductive project to get Brits to tell Ohio voters to vote for Kerry?

Voted in NYC. Therer were two voting booths and they told Republicans to vote in one booth, Democrats to vote in the other. I'd suggest raising the high sign to officials -- I would wager that a practice like that is illegal.
Looking for the right contact info. The NYC voter number is useless.
Next suggestion is that you get ahold of someone in the media -- Kevin McCullough is a host on WMCA Radio in New York, a fellow blogger and a fellow FReeper.
Kevin, can you lend a hand here?

I just saw Luntz on Fox and Friends.. He says he is "sure" that Ohio will go for Bush. Hope he is right! I think those
vote watchers in Ohio are going to be busy, busy!

Come on, San Diego Freepers Ah, San Diego. I lived there for awhile. I love the Tijuana trolley. And especially that restaurant (looks like a Spanish mission) where the serve fantastic margaritas (can't remember the restaurant name).

I got to the polling place, got in one of the three lines and suddenly realized I had no idea what precinct I am in (the school serves 3 precincts).
Two of the lines were loooooooong, so I got in one of them and called my wife on the cell phone so she could look up our precinct on the internet. Last night, I looked up a lot of election info at the Louisiana.gov site, including my precinct info.
She was a trooper. She went through the tabs of all the Mozilla windows I had opened, and found the precinct info.
Turns out, I was in the wrong line. My precinct line was two people long. The other lines had about 50+. Pretty cool.

So, Red Area, Red County, Red State has about 90% turnout today. Which may also explain why the polls are at a Baptist church. :)

Im thinking ABC would be good since their offices are very close to my polling place.

Done...
Opened the local precinct. A long line at 6:00 a.m. - unprecidented for our community.
One man (a Republican) discouraged me. His wife is an invalid - and can't get to the polls by herself. She is also a Democrat. HE won't take her. That's sad.
One lady was almost in tears that Kerry might be elected (fearfull.)
Many encouraging comments from people.
Thank God for President Bush!

I went to vote before the grandkids got here. I live in a rural area, never have waited in line. There was a line of cars waiting to get into the parking lot. I turned around and came home. I will have to wait until later to vote with grandbabies in tow. I hope its still a long line though.
