Today's Topic: If I Were President, I Would.....?

With the election going on today, we decided to make each of you "President" for a day. Now that you are ruling the country--what would you do? Would you give everyone Friday's off? Would you get rid of the income tax? What would you do?

Before you sit down and do this, please GO VOTE!

America needs you. You have been made President for a day because the current one is going fishing on the new Mars settlement.

If I Were President, I Would......

Ban Taxes?
Remove The Speed Limit?
Repeal the Beer Tax? (Have to get a plug in for Burkaman 4 President!)

What would you do?

Election Day Joke

A little something to get your mind racing and geared up for the election.

Tom and Old Sarge were a couple of drinking buddies who worked as aircraft mechanics in Atlanta. One day the airport was fogged in and they were stuck in the hangar with nothing to do.

Tom said, "Man, I wish we had something to drink!"

Old Sarge says, "Me too. Y'know, I've heard you can drink jet fuel and get a buzz. You wanna try it?"

So they pour themselves a couple of glasses of high octane hootch and get completely smashed.

The next morning Tom wakes up and is surprised at how good he feels. In fact he feels GREAT! NO hangover! NO bad side effects. Nothing!

Then the phone rings .... it's Old Sarge.

Old Sarge says, "Hey, how do you feel this morning?"

Tom says, "I feel great. How about you?"

Old Sarge says, "I feel great, too. You don't have a hangover?"

Tom, "No that jet fuel is great stuff -- no hangover, nothing. We ought to do this more often."

"Yeah, well there's just one thing."

"What's that?"

"Have you farted yet?"

"No "

"Well, DON'T, 'cause I'm in PHOENIX."

If I were president my first order of business would be to issue a medal of merit to those who started and keep the FR Canteen doing such fine work for our brave heroes.

My second order of business would be to give all the good little FReepers a legal holiday with free beer each year to thank them for getting me elected.

My third order of business would be to issue blanket immunity protection to Tonk for any vanity he wishes to post!!!!

If I were president I'd tell Michael Moore and others of his ilk to "Shove it!" LOL!

But seriously I would bann the income tax and do away with unlimited terms for US senaters and change voting day to Fridays and make it a Federal holiday. and increase term limits for presidents (especially the 43rd)

Thanks...but I have to say I'm nervous about the poll watching thing!! I still dont know exactly what to expect. I've never done this before and so I don't know the set up!

I'm also embarrased to admit that with all the times I've voted...I never paid attention to where the poll watchers were or what they were doing!!
