VERY Good News From a HIGH RANKING GOP Insider!!!

Posted on 11/01/2004 10:00:10 AM PST by jmstein7

For all you worry warts out there, I have some very good news from a very, very high ranking GOP insider.

In an email just sent to me, the insider writes the following:

President wins tomorrow and we end up up 3 [in the House]. Senate up 1.

-------------------------------------------------

Well, not as high as I'd like in the House and Senate, but I'll take it!

Keep your chins up, and get out there and vote tomorrow!

Not to burst any bubbles -- but at 5 PM on election night in 2000 -- the RNC insiders were still predicting a large victory -- to include over 310 electoral votes. I know -- because I know the people there.

Right now -- Bush has a strong chance to win, but only by holding Florida. Ohio would be great -- but it is not essential. I we capture Florida -- we should have enough to win Iowa and Wisc.

We will not win PA.

Also -- the real big question here is how good is the 72 hour plan. It has been developed over 3.5 years. In addition, it was tested in the Congressional mid-terms with success. However, the dims have poured record money into their already battle tested GOTV machine.

Republicans will need to prove that they can mobilize numbers from far more difficult ranks. (Dems get extra voters in urban areas where hordes are registered. The proximity and the use of Union organizers make it easier for them to drive-up turn-out.)

The Republicans need to counter this -- and top it. That will not be an easy task. The good news is, they need only do it in a few states to win in the electorial college.

I will say this, however, if we get to over 130,000,000 voters, that cannot be good for an incumbent polling under 50%.

I haven't turned on the news once today, but have been reading Free Republic. I am thinking of turning the computer off also. This is sooo nerve-racking.

I wonder how it is going to breakdown in the Senate elections.

I see us winning NC (+1), losing Alaska (E), Losing Illinois (-1), winning South Dakota(E), winning Florida (+1) and winning GA (+2).

While Alaska can go either way, it is likely to go Dem, and the SD race will wholly depend upon how much reservation fraud they can create.

Dear God, I hope you're right. But (no offense) I'm going to wait for the official results to bring out the champagne. If Bush wins, I'll drink a glass. If Kerry wins, I'll finish the bottle.

I'll have a can of beer either way:

What the Hell? Up one in the Senate? WHat???

I think (at least I'm hoping) they mean we gain three in the house and gain one in the Senate.

Don't forget too that PAX will be broadcasting Stolen Honor all over the country today and the Swift Boat Vets will be running huge numbers of ads in all the swing states today. Polls do not fully reflect the impact of all the Swift Boat ads and PAX broadcasts from this weekend. So I believe with all this broadcasting for our side and looking at history that the majority of undecided voters will break for Bush. I'll predict Bush wins the popular vote by 51-48 and takes the electoral vote by 40 votes.

I can predict what the stock market will do with 100% certainty.

It will close at a level other than that which it opened at.

Broward County Florida is gonna be a mess. My son lives there and has had:

1) Endured a Supervisor of Elections DemoAD when notified his ballot was mailed

2) Not receiving his ballot

3) Actual voting location moved 3 times

He and his wife are determined to actually vote, have it counted, and not cause problems. The problems will be with whiners who cannot handle "election games" like this. The election officials and postal authorities should experience a "regime change"(BE REPLACED FOR INCOMPETENCE) by the locals later in 2005 when the dust settles.

BTW, the "foreign observers" tour guide is a Demo-ex-Senator who has a somewhat checkered past.

My GOP insider says all Dem senators will lose tomorrow, even the ones not up for re-election until 2006 and 2008! So, there!

Hey Ramcat...just thought you'd want to know that Seneca SC has a downtown location called Ramcat Alley! Best part of town - downtown with the eclectic shops and antique stores.

Not to match insiders, but mine says still down in Ohio and even in Florida. Of course, your person may have better info than mine. What more did he say? Or was it as cryptic as you indicate? House prediction is consistent with what I have heard, as well.

Your "insider" wouldn't be a member of DU by any chance, would he/she/it?
