HERE'S WHY:
Bush sign theft has been a huge problem in my area just like everywhere else. Yesterday when I put out my latest set of Bush signs I decided to also leave a warning for the Democrat scum that keeps stealing other people's property. I got a ziplock back, filled it with old paint, and taped it to the inside of my sign. It was rigged to dispense its contents if anybody turned it sideways. Though my sign was stolen (and is now replaced with another), I am happy to report that somewhere there's a Kerry-supporting marxist twit driving around in a volvo diversity wagon with a huge green stain on his or her back seat.
Do you happen to have a dog or some other animal you clean up after? (smile)
We have lost five signs. The one last night had been covered with vaseline and my husband had attached it to metal fence posts. Meanwhile, our neighbor's Kerry sign remains intact. I hope that everyone who drives by takes notice. Even the fence posts were gone this morning and that took some time. It is creepy on a lot of levels, no wonder they like the LURCH.
good show!
mine was just stolen early this morning, and I've replaced it with two more.
I have 5 more to keep putting back up!
ROFL....Way to Go!!!!
Tell me it was oil-based paint. Please. : )
I had the next best thing once about 3 years ago. I covered my sign with WD-40 and grease. Some little leftist snot came by while I was actually outside around the side of the building. I saw him steal the sign and throw it in the back seat of his car. He realized what I had done to it as he was pulling away and I heard a string of profanities all the way down the street.
LOVE IT.
Too bad it would have been technically difficult
to have
left them with
a big BLACK puddle
with a YELLOW stripe down the middle in their back seat!
Great Idea, I'M having the same problem where I live in Long Island, N.Y. I had 1 stolen, after that I decided to have my german sheperd stay in my S.U.V. for a few hours every night. The problem with my signs disappearing has stopped, and my dog loves the idea of his new temporary job of guarding the front of our home.
It wasn't enamel but it was the next best thing - kind of a wierd mixture of old paints in an old bottle that had been sitting in my garage in the same place where I unloaded it after the last move. It was mostly water based, I think, but I know for certain that there was some wax-lipid based junk in there (basically the equivalent of water-based green dye mixed with car wax). It was the nastiest thing I could find in my garage so I chose it.
LOL!!
I love this rigging of Bush signs to combat the peaceful open minded liberals.
If someone could think of a way to rig bumper stickers, though, that would be a nice bonus.
That is so on target.
Take joy in the fact that they got messy though. Just go out and put another one back up and put even nastier stuff all over it - paint, syrup, glue, anything that's sticky and messy. It's a given that they're gonna steal your sign so have fun with it and make them pay. I suspect chewed up bubble gum stretched over the stakes can also be fun, or just try the paint bag.
A lovely avocado shade will, I'm sure, add something to the decor of a Volvo.
ROTFL!
I can just see some whiny little metrosexual freak screaming about how the upholstry doesn't match any more
My Bush sign was stolen a couple of night ago too. (Many have been stolen around here.) We know it was there at midnight, but it was gone at 6 a.m.. Now who is riding around in the wee hours, just to steal signs? Thought it over and here is a possibility: the guy who delivers the newspaper, the same paper that endorsed Kerry in an editorial and slants every story against Bush, against Republicans. I wonder if the delivery guy has the back of his van filled with Bush signs. This probably sounds paranoid, but it makes sense.
Black oil-base paint is really nasty stuff.
It just means that they are desperate, intolerant fascists.
You know the Left is going to go absolutely bonkers when President Bush is re-elected! It is going to be such fun to watch!
