ABCNEWS HOLDS TERROR WARNING TAPE
**Exclusive**
In the last week before the election, ABCNEWS is holding on a videotaped message from a purported al Qaeda terrorist warning of a new attack on America, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
The terrorist claims on tape the next attack will dwarf 9/11. "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead. Further claims: America has brought this on itself for electing George Bush who has made war on Islam by destroying the Taliban and making war on Al Qaeda.
ABCNEWS strongly denies holding the tape back from broadcast over political concerns during the last days of the election.
The CIA is analyzing the tape, a top federal source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.
ABCNEWS obtained the tape from a source in Waziristan, Pakistan over the weekend, sources tells DRUDGE.
"We have been working 24 hours a day trying to authenticate [the tape]," a senior ABCNEWS source said Wednesday morning.
The terrorist's face is concealed by a head dress, and speaks in an American accent, making it difficult to identify the individual, but US intelligence officials believe that man may be Adam Gadhan - aka Adam Pearlman - a southern California native who was highlighted by the FBI in May as an individual most likely to be involved in or have knowledge of the next al Qaeda attacks.
According to the FBI, Gadahn, 25, attended al-Qaida training camps and served as an al-Qaida translator.
The disturbing tape runs an hour -- the man simply identifies himself as 'Assam the American.'

At issue here is what will be the consequences of a Bush win and ABC witheld the tape until after the election.
The MSM is beginning to understand that come November 3, their little freedom of the press gig is over.
I always thought they were giving the terrorists too much credit comparing them to wolves. Hyenas would have been more appropriate.
I think home grown wackos are behind this. And I would not be suprised if kerry campaign is also behind this.

We have been discussing, I think, NOT that they didn't air It - but that they held it back for a few days from Homeland Security! It's the HOLDING BACK THE INFO FROM HOMELAND SEC/CIA ETC...

No it wouldn't. All ABC has to do is state a disclaimer that they obtained the tape from Waziristan (a bad neighborhood if there ever was one) and that they don't know if it is authentic or not, but they should SHOW IT immediately in the interest of public safety and let us make up our own minds.
Only if they claimed it was absolute fact would they risk a Rathergate type embarrassment. The only conceivable reasons for NOT showing the tape are:
1- the CIA told them not to show it yet, or
2- they want to suppress it to help Kerry
So much for waiting to see if it is authentic or not before breaking the story, IMHO.

It is a media straw poll. The terrorists gave both tapes (if Kerry/Bush wins) to ABC but this is the one they chose to publicize. < /sarcasm >
Oh, yeah, we always believe what MSNBC says. The night that NBC broke the story that forces with embeds had been at Al KAKA before the NYT timeline, MSNBC was still reporting the NYT story. Remember, this is the network with Christ Mathews, John Kerry and Clinton's chubby cheerleader!

Americans aren't going to buy that crap.. But, if his people are going behind this governments back to make deals, then what kind of deals would be made? Some names from the BergerGate papers will vanish? No prosecution of Saddam IF he tells us where the nukes are that will be forever floating from buyer to buyer...

In an ideal world, it wouldn't be a campaign issue. We would rally as Americans behind our leader. Unfortunatley, this is not an ideal world. The reason this is an issue, the most important issue, is because of the threat it indicates, and the two approaches in which Bush and Kerry would handle it. Bush would confront it. Kerry would ignore it until the unimaginable happens, then he'd probably surrender! We saw a good example of this after the USS Cole. It was handled with a less than half-hearted attempt. Result, the attacks escalated and we had 911. Thank God Bush was president. If this tape is real, than Bush is the man in the drivers seat. Let's keep him there.
