ABCNEWS HOLDS TERROR WARNING TAPE
**Exclusive**
In the last week before the election, ABCNEWS is holding on a videotaped message from a purported al Qaeda terrorist warning of a new attack on America, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
The terrorist claims on tape the next attack will dwarf 9/11. "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead. Further claims: America has brought this on itself for electing George Bush who has made war on Islam by destroying the Taliban and making war on Al Qaeda.
ABCNEWS strongly denies holding the tape back from broadcast over political concerns during the last days of the election.
The CIA is analyzing the tape, a top federal source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.
ABCNEWS obtained the tape from a source in Waziristan, Pakistan over the weekend, sources tells DRUDGE.
"We have been working 24 hours a day trying to authenticate [the tape]," a senior ABCNEWS source said Wednesday morning.
The terrorist's face is concealed by a head dress, and speaks in an American accent, making it difficult to identify the individual, but US intelligence officials believe that man may be Adam Gadhan - aka Adam Pearlman - a southern California native who was highlighted by the FBI in May as an individual most likely to be involved in or have knowledge of the next al Qaeda attacks.
According to the FBI, Gadahn, 25, attended al-Qaida training camps and served as an al-Qaida translator.
The disturbing tape runs an hour -- the man simply identifies himself as 'Assam the American.'

True. I think that ABC did the right thing, it could have been a little faster, but still right to turn it over to homeland security.

Just to clarify--I don't think ABC should broadcast the actual tape--just show a couple of small cuts.
I DO think ABC should have reported the story about the tape. It would not cause a panic, IMO. It would inform the people, as ABC should be doing.
I think it is withheld for political reasons, and I think that is wrong.
BTW, MSNBC says the CIA got the tape on Monday (a href=http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6345734/>link) which fits into the timeline for turning it over quickly.
There is a veiled threat to attack us if Bush is re-elected.
There is no promise not to attack us if kerry is elected. They will simply pull out the threat the first time kerry does not submit to their agenda.
If anyone thinks this threat will disappear if Bush is out of office is a fool.

Well, it's a no-win situation for the terrorists anyway. If they hit us before Tuesday, the President can't be pulled out of office in war time.
And if they hit us between now and January, God forbid if FnKerry should win, President Bush would STILL stay in office. They can't pull a sitting President out of his seat in war time.
I'm very suspicious of the timing.

Read my post 1,276. Listen, terrorists are already desperate people because they can't work within systems to change things to their likings. So, they are inherently desperate & following poll indicators, it looks like the poll results will only reinforce that desperation, which, in turn, fuels further desperate acts.
Sure, no president would be pulled from office in the immediacy of war time, but disrupting the election in the early evening of Election Day would give Kerry a legal footing to keep the door open.
If you don't know the Democrats' strategy of "open doors," then you haven't been around them enough. All they need is a foothold--a beachhead. That at least gives them a concentrated area to work from, and if Florida is any example, they know how to marshal their resources in one concentrated area--and they've especially fine-tuned their lessons learned in Florida.

Wish I were home.I'd know for sure.After 9-11,when the airspace was restricted around the plant,I'd go outside just to watch the jets keeping planes away.When they kick the throttle,they REALLY kick in the throttle.No mistake when over the house or when watching them fly towards a passenger plane.
Just heard on Fox that tape was received by ABC over the week-end and turned over to Government Monday.
I agree. IF it was for political reasons then ABC deserves to be destroyed.
