Navy Stripped Kerry Of Security Clearance!!!!!! Unauthorized Contacts With Enemy Agents!

Kerry Lost Security Clearance!

Just spoke with reporter friend in DC. She is talking with former USN ONI types who worked on DOD/USN investigation that resulted in total loss of Kerry’s Navy security clearance.

Kerry had been granted a Top Secret by the Navy on October 11, 1967 based on a routine background investigation by Office of Naval Intelligence. A top secret clearance was required for his work at that time.

Obtaining and holding a security clearance of any level, especially TS or above, requires certain terms, obligations, commitments and conditions from the holder. One of the most important is the holder of the clearance must promptly and fully any contacts with any foreign officials, agents, etc.

Lieutenant Kerry left active duty with the Navy on January 3, 1970, but he still carried those obligations as a commissioned officer of the Naval Reserve. Without telling anyone and without receiving permission from superiors,FBI or counter-intelligence officers, he traveled to Paris in the summer of 1970. He claimed the purpose of his trip was a honeymoon with his first wife, Julia Thorne, but there was another hidden purpose.

Numerous North Vietnamese and Viet Cong intelligence agents and officials were in Paris, having arrived a year earlier for the “Peace Talks.” While in Paris, Kerry met with agents on a number of occasions and had extensive discussions with them about U.S. plans, procedures and how to get the U.S. to essentially surrender in Vietnam.

These clandestine meetings were never reported to the Navy.

Almost a year later, in April 1091, speaking as the leader of the Vietnam Veterans Against The War, Lieutenant Kerry told a Senate hearing about his meetings with enemy agents. Senior DOD officials wanted to prosecute him as a Naval Reserve officer for violating a number of laws and regulations, but this was vetoed by the Nixon White House. They didn’t want to give the anti-war crowd any additional PR ammunition.

However, the Navy immediately pulled Kerry’s security clearance. He became a Naval Reserve officer who was known not to be trusted. He kept his commission, but lost all access to any classified information. In the words of one of the now-retired agents, “Lieutenant Kerry wasn’t cleared to know what time it was!”

The bottom line is, Kerry was on the Intelligence Committee of the Senate after the Paris fiasco and another trip to support the Moscow-backed Sandinistas in Nicaragua.

Today, he couldn’t get a security clearance to pull KP duty, but he wants to be Commander in Chief of all our military in the War on Terrorism!

I am beginning to think the Swift Boat people know this and why they dared Kerry to sue. Never did think his first discharge was honorable or he would have released the records way back. Someone upgraded it to honorable and would love to know who it was.

When he was stripped of his security clearance, could they have also stripped him of his medals and why he had a new citation written?

This was also the case with Bill Clinton. It must be common with democRATs.

Senators still need a security clearance [to sit on the Intelligence Committee]. If I recall, Leahy was kicked off... for leaking information.

Perhaps no-one ever checked Kerry's security clearance level.

Since no action was taken at the time, there is no issue of "double jeopardy". Right?

What would have the Navy charged him with had the decision to pursue the issue been made at the time?
Is there a statute of limitation on treason?

I put that darn tag in there, not sure why it didn't show up.

I learned my lesson a month ago with the "Mohammed is a pedophile" thread.

It won't happen again, especially considering I can barely see all of my pings!

If this is true...the man should be hung for treason.

good detailed link, I admit I just scanned it, but did not see anything about the drug trade with China, as the link I posted discusses. Seems that John Forbes Kerry has an interesting family history.

Sorry. The way it goes is anyone elected by the people has full access to all classified material.

So in other words, if someone was a traitor, with no security clearance, he could wipe the slate clean by getting himself elected "President of the United States".

TS Clearance or Higher for Officers: 1. requires the officer to detail everything he or she has every done in their lives. Reason being...could they be blackmailed? 2. They look for any convictions etc. 3. They interview friends, they want details of wives past or present parent info for both Its very detailed process that takes up to a year some times longer. If approved a TS clearance is good for 5 yrs. After the 5 yrs and if job requires you are resubmitted for the clearance and go through the same process as before. My question is....... Does a President automatically get the highest clearance when he/she takes office? To lose a TS clearance: TS was up and was no longer needed, they recieved some kind of felony conviction, or being investigated for some kind of serious offense. But you still can retain that TS clearance for 5 yrs even if you move to a job that doesn't require that high of a clearance. Where is this article getting the proof, because this would be HUGE if he did lose his clearance!!

Read this about Kerry's discharge. It answers a lot of questions, but provides no proof, only speculation. Only a signed 180 form would provide the proof.

hmmm, can drunk driving get your clearance revoked, yup...

Bankruptcy, any convictions, any prior membership of any organization that is against our government.

Anything on record that shows poor handling of finances, too many trips to foreign countries under "pleasure",psychological problems, marital problems and even poor yearly evaluations, even if you sneeze funny can keep you from getting and or losing your clearance.

Clearances are no joke and aren't just passed out to anyone. For Kerry to lose his clearance, he had to have done something to risk national security.

S: Otherwise...Presidents would be selected by a small group of mid-level CIA and FBI bureaucrats.
K: They aren't?

Actually, in a way, they are. If you think back to the talk of Kerry selecting a VP candidate, you may remember talk of the FBI vetting Kerry's short list. This is SOP, more in order to find embarrasing skeletons than to award a clearance...but vetting, all the same.

As others have said, election to POTUS brings automatic clearance. As does election to the Senate, but Reagan's dictum of "Trust but Verify" is closely followed.

You have to be on active duty status to receive non-judicial punishment as well.

Given that ole Joe Kennedy made his money in bootlegging and Botox Ketchupman aligns himself with the Kennedys straight up and down, I'm not surprised that his ancesters participated in illegal drugs.

I will bet you can take it to the bank the Swifties already know this and that is why they have been daring Kerry to sue and why the all out assault against Kerry.

It makes sense and I am now convinced that his first discharge was a general discharge and not honorable. I asked someone in the military if they could have stripped him of his medals like the Silver Star because that would explain a new commendation which never made any sense to have more than one.

BTW, I have a call into someone I used to work with who might have heard something. This would explain his not signing the 180!
