What can we do about changing laws to allow teachers to pack? If pilots can do it (after being certified, I believe -- maybe someone can correct me?) then why not teachers who have gone through a special training program as well? Yes, I'm from Texas, and I keep thinking of a certain Luby's ... and also remember a school shooting that was foiled a few years ago by a vice principal who had his handgun in his car. People here in California blanch when I say things like this, but we need to think this way if we want to protect our kids.
