lol... I lurked a bit before I jumped in. ;-)
actually, with the raftfuls of newbies arriving, I am a tail ender old timer.. kinda sort of. :-)
Terry McAuliffe (DNC chairman) really just got on my nerves on FOx. He says Cheney had to mop up for Bush's performance the other night and he could not. Yet, McAuliffe could not provide any evidence as to why he thinks he did poorly. The only thing he gave Cheney credit for was showing up to the debate. What a typical democRAT. He cannot give evidence to support his criticisms. Makes me sick.
Yes! I like your suggestion too.
italics test: Edwards is a weenie Is this gonna be on the global test?
Uh. No. The "french" have not given it their approval. ;=>
"At this university in Ohio the results were:
137 thought Cheney won
33 thought edwards won
It was not close. Public comments were overwhelmingly against Edwards."
I think that is the best indicative news I've read tonight and I've been all evening with FR and CSpan.
To ol' Flagg, this debate can be described in one sentence: "So THAT'S what multiple nuclear strikes looks like."
Vice President Cheney successfully made the quick-and-slick lawyer Edwards shake, stutter and stumble while remaining calm and focused.
All the online polls have been bombarded by the DUers, but nobody who saw this will believe them.
The game plan is unfolding as I hoped: They're setting The Two Johns up to destroy themselves with their own words.
Printing up more Bush/Cheney bumper stickers tomorrow.
The fact the MSNBC had more people hitting the poll than watch msnbc should tell you something.
" He cannot give evidence to support his criticisms. Makes me sick."
That's the standard RAT MO. Never....eeeeeeever state your opinion or belief on ANY issue and ALWAYS attack...attack...ATTACK your opponent for what he/she stands for.
Anyone remember the move Best Little (blank)house In Texas?
That song that Charles Durning did? About loving to "do a little side step"? That's EXACTLY what Kerry reminds me of.
Perhaps we're realizing some cultural/demographic division here among Pythonites. Here in the Midwest, we've always called that the bridge scene. The Black Knight was guarding his bridge. But, let's not allow it to divide us, my Republican friend.
I have also referred to the "Bridge of Death" scene you mention:
Since I am on webtv, I must do all this from memory:
To Kerry:
What is your name? John sKerry
What is your quest? I seek the presidency
What is your favorite color?
Blue...no....ahhh...see ya, John.
Flip-flopper pays the price.
I agree. Let them have their silly polls. I'm not going to click on the links to register a hit for them. They are on their way out and I'm not going to add to their ratings even if it's to express my opposing view.
So THAT'S what multiple nuclear strikes looks like."
I thought it might be what carpet bombing looks and sounds like, LOL!!
Oh now be nice :)
California is trying-on the powder blue look.
I just wish that Cheney would have shown us the funny picture that he was drawing of Edwards... oh well, (sigh!) ... : ) <<< me
Sound bite of the campaign!
BTW...have you ever seen Live at the Hollywood Bowl on DVD? I have all movies (excluding Jabberwocky) and all the Flying Circus shows, but haven't found LatHB.
In the interest of the thread, I will once again slam Edwards: He's still a weenie.
I think I've started something.
F. Democrats.
MS-NBC: Are You a Bush Booster -- or Basher?
They received around 105,000 votes.
Editor's Note: This week, the online version of the Newsweek poll received an unusually high rate of response, with the clear majority of participants casting uniform votes. For these reasons, we believe the poll is being intentionally manipulated. In addition, we received an e-mail alert suggesting that the campaign is being coordinated by at least one special-interest group.
Who won the debate? * 637846 responses
VP Dick Cheney 32%
Sen. John Edwards 68%
Gwen did an awesome job. She's the real deal and didn't let little John get away with anything. She seemed to respect the vice president, but Cheney is the sort of individual that just draws silent respect.
and the pundits were even questioning whether Cheney could possibly have been right. Get ready for the spin on this one folks. I hope Drudge doesn't do something stupid like run this photo.
...and you would be 100% right with that statement. Mr. Cheney was truly the man of the debate tonight.
