Problem is that Kerry-Edwards is already running this photo

and the pundits were even questioning whether Cheney could possibly have been right. Get ready for the spin on this one folks. I hope Drudge doesn't do something stupid like run this photo.

What's the deal with the picture? (Forgive my ignorance--I've been away from my computer.)

It actually works to Cheney's advantage, if the Pubs use it right. This is a man who for the last 4 years has been President of the Senate yet he's supposed to remember meeting a Jr. Senator at a prayer breakfast 3 years ago?

You'd think that Edwards would have shown up to work often enough that his "boss" would remember him being there.

Someone needs to do a tally of how many times John Edwards blinked during the debate. And clock it to blinks per second (4 or 5 I would say).

If they want a superficial take on the debate, that will sink them this time around.

I don't think that the Democrats should go there. If 2 people being in the same place and proximity mean that they met each other and had a genuine coversation, what does it say about this photo that Kerry's campaign downplayed???

SNOPES: Photograph shows John Kerry at a 1970 anti-war rally seated near Jane Fonda

Note: the photographer and Corbis do not allow FR to link the html of this photo. They don't seem to mind other website stealing it and hosting it on their own servers.

F. Democrats.

Cheney never swore Edwards in as a Freshman Senator, never worked alongside him in the Senate, and Edwards hasn't been seen in the Senate since his run for President. Cheney may have met him at a prayer breakfast, but they have yet to meet face to face in the Senate. Afterall, Cheney is the President Of The Senate.

I don't see any eye contact there.

Did Edwards ever tap Cheney on the shoulder and introduce himself?

I heard about the prayer breakfast meeting this morning when Edwards' giggling daughter was telling E.D Hill (the female bill o'reilly) how her mom went up to Cheney and corrected him about meeting Edwards. I think VP Cheney was driving home the point he never met Edwards at any of the Intelligence meetings, something a little more important.

It's a buffet breakfast, probably had no reason to look at each other if they were hungry. Doubt if one knew other one was there.
