No question. Cheney knew early on that he had won and just let big John go on looking goofy.
The really interesting thing here is that, though Kerry may have won his first debate with the President on "style" points, Cheney clearly won this one on substance. Now, we will see Bush-Cheney get a huge bounce in the next day or so that Kerry-Edwards didn't see after their "win."

I doubt if there have been 600 tax BILLS in the amount of time Kerry has been in the Senate. That one was so utterly ridiculous I knew he had lost it completely when I heard that.

It's about time it catches on that online poles are total crank.
Reporters that write articles about pole numbers or politicians that set policy on pole trends are lazy. It's a crutch that affords them an easy ride. The national approval for emancipation in the 1860's was somewhere around 20%. Would Lincoln have been considered a great leader today if it weere 80%? Probably a great follower.
