"Go to Hell Traitors!" DC Chapter Defends Arlington Cemetery 10/2/04
Self | October 2, 2004 | Sauropod

Posted on 10/02/2004 5:59:56 PM PDT by sauropod

By my count, we had 21 FReepers and lurkers man the lines today defending the honor of Arlington National Cemetery. Many passersby gave us the "thumbs up" and several folks thanked us for being out giving our opinion of this blood dance. Honor Roll for today's FReep: Kristinn, tgslTakoma, hoodlum91, 3D-JOY, Sauropod, Jimmy Valentine's Brother, 3 lurkers, DonSimmons, LiveFreeorDie, BufordP, RaceBannon, Doctor Raoul, Cobol2Java, LandryFan, and BillF.

When you arrive at the Arlington National Cemetary Visitor Center, this is the sign you see:

I'm going to show you some pictures of what went on today and you can decide if the Left obeyed that sign or not.

We set up on Memorial drive immediately before the bridge. There was some last minute preparations that we had to do.

kristinn and bufordP making signs

Kristinn makes sign.

Our MOAB under construction:

Not too long after, Jimmy Valentine's Brother showed up. He immediately appropriated one of the signs I had brought with me (made by hellinahandcart) and held onto it all day.

Jimmy Valentine's Brother

Here is a close-up of the sign.

BufordP (who can't resist giving advice to people) gives directions to the Leftists

Message for Medea Benjawoman.

This was a good sign as well.

To our troops!

Osama's best friends:

LandryFan held another one of hellinahandcart's signs:

FReeper BillF arrived with his homemade sign:

About this time, a holier than thou peace protestor attempted to engage us in conversation. JVB got quite irate at her and asked her when she was going to get outraged at all of the beheadings taking place. BufordP started to try and reason with her but it was no use. Finally, she gave up and started heading toward where the rest of the unwashed rabble were swarming. Buford kept trying though, talking to her as she walked away. (Misogynist!)

Here's where she went:

Race Bannon and Doctor Raoul arrived around this time.

The good Doctor was in fine form and was prepared to do a multimedia FReep.

We met a couple who were passersby (they hadn't heard of Free Republic). They told us they were so disgusted with what they saw up at the Women's memorial, they just had to come by and hold a sign.

Luke the bicycle bisexual showed up. I had stepped across the street to take a picture or two. He started yelling something about the "curse of Fallujah" would be upon us. I asked him, "How did it feel to be supporting terrorists?" He said, "They're not terrorists."

Back in January 2003, we ran into Luke at a D.A.W.N. protest at the Lincoln Memorial. He insisted on making a big deal about his bisexuality (too much information - I didn't ask). We see him at many protests in the DeeCee area on his little pedal pusher. He seems to get more belligerent at each one.

When we got everyone in place, we started forming the FREepline:

And again.

One more time.

And what would a FReep be without a MOAB?

The Desecrators started to move. Make sure to pick up your trash before you go.

First Coffin Arrives

End the war

The left is full of antisemites. Here's proof.

The "mourners".

More "mourners."

Somebody's proud to be a peacenick:

Power to the people or white power? You decide.

More coffins

Oh look! They've laid a rose on the coffin. How touching.

That coffin sure is gettin' heavy!

Answer and Nader signs were in the march.

Here's somebody in uniform doing what he shouldn't:

Now I have a question for FReepers. This looks to me like somebody on active duty. I cropped out his picture from the high-res photo I took. Is this a current uniform?

Leftists being leftists, use whomever they can to "get their point across." Now they've got the kids in the act (he's holding up the banner).

First wave hits the bridge. On to the White House!

End of the march. They're crossing the bridge. The cop is relieved.

Kristinn gives rare interview.

Lunch after freepin'

Great job. Is it gauche to recognize that at the end of the Freep, the folks usually end up sitting around a table loaded with adult beverages?

More power to the Freepers. I'll have a Rebel Yell in your honor. Alone, damn it.

It's his Halloween costume.

If this guy is a Captain, . . .I'm a Green Beret SgtMaj General, on Seal Team Six in Force Recon with four (4) purple hearts, a combat V Bronze Star, and I saved a Shih Szu during a mission to Cambodia during Christmas in '68.

Dead Giveaway.

The Bars are not parallel to the deck. No officer would be caught dead with his bars all lopsided.

Wanna be a Bad Boy? The sentence for wearing an officers uniform should be immediate conscription and assignment to mobile infantry, on point, as a private.

Anybody can purchase a BDU and bars at the local army/navy surplus.

Well now that you mention it, his camos aren't the color they are wearing now..the real desert camo...looks like he is wearing a 24th ID patch...so maybe he is a wanna be with a mis-matched uniform, i.e., Marine Corps uniform with Army patches????

I had the privilege to visit Arlington Cemetery for the 1st time this past summer. Thank you for standing out there, for your commitment to our fallen. The price of liberty is high and it continues. God bless you all for the work you do. You are making a difference.

Excellent FReep and a great example of photojournalism as well!

You guys is the DC Chapter are such an inspiration and set a fine example for all of us. When I see Race Bannon out there with you and I know he had to drive 6 hours from Bristol, CT to get there, it REALLY inspires me!

I love the MOAB message, "GO to HELL TRAITORS!"

I will PING all or JAX FReepers to see this thread and get INSPIRED by your great example!

Bars are on the shoulder for Army Dress right?

I confess to unfamiliarity with desert BDUs.

The group "Veterans for Peace" was there. This guy was probably w/ them.

Had my hubby take a look at that so-called captain...Mike says unifrom looks authentic, patches should be desert cammy(but doesn't mean too much)....said it looks like a NG patch...cannot have a goatee..but, maybe between drills...he doesn't look like an officer and could have gotten that uniform anyplace.

Impossible.

If it was a Shih Szu, it would likely have been China, not Indo-China. Now the rest of that I believe. Only of course if you are buddies with Kennedy.

I noticed the same thing but bit my tongue. .....

Did you notice the woman in the red shirt taking notes from across the street. Press? Another organization? Communist worker's front, other BS? Anyone know what she was doing?

This means more to some than to others. I carried 1235 of those caskets to their graves and folded 1235 flags.

Big thanks friend!
