Mother to be, sucking on a cigarette, is concerned about how the noise from jackhammers will effect her unborn child...
It was a rocky start, but I am happy to meet you. And I am sure we will meet again on other threads.
YESSS!!! And ashtrays in the waiting rooms. hehe!
I think she is smoking weed....anyone got a problem with that?
Yep,it's against the law.
She's probably grabbing her smoke outdoors because she can't smoke indoors in too many places.
I grew up in a time when we all had to figure out for ourselves what was good for us and what was bad for us.
Experience and common sense worked well.
God I hate the nanny state and the lawyers that are drooling over the money that can be made.
He sounds like a very confused little man.
I agree. If people raised their own unsprayed tobacco plants and rolled their own, it could be healthier. I'm sorry, I've seen people with lung cancer, lugging an oxygen tank and smoking. I've also seen people die with lung cancer who smoked two and three packs a day. Not everyone who smokes heavily eats a sensible diet and takes vitamins. Thankfully, some have been lucky, or else more careful in taking care of themselves. . and the woman probably just came outside after having a lunch of chips and Cokes to go with the cigarette. .
>>>> It's no one's damned business if this woman is smoking while pregnant. Get it? You all live your lives and let her live hers. MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!
Agreed for the most part. You have to admit though that it was pretty audacious of her to pose for media cameras with a cig and whine about how construction noise (of all things) might be hurting her baby.
Twinkie, allow me to pass along a fresh new lesson I learned on this thread.
(at the hands of a few seasoned veterans, of which I am not one)
Be careful what you criticize,,just the behavior,,and not the person,,,saying this was a spirit of cooperation.
My criticisms were taken a bit differently than I intended and you can read what ensued.
I am not the spokesperson here, nor does anyone need me to speak for them,,of course,,I am just trying to do a friendly little pass along of some newly acquired knowledge....
cool?

I'll give you that. She may be a half bubble out of plum. Kinda funny actually. I really believe that some people were put here for the enjoyment of others.

We think alike! :) And I think this woman may just be one of those people. Without the caption, I would have been really fired up about people going off on her. But considering the reason she paraded herself before the media, she may have just as well put a big bullseye target on her maternity shirt!!
Welp, thanks anyway, but that's the whole idea behind not being a liberal, politically correct brownnose. If I come here to FR and have to walk on eggshells about every word or thought, then I might as well shag on over to Streisand's website and join in with all the other pc's there. - For my own reasons, I think commercial tobacco smoke is poison VOC's, and I'm sure the smokers on FR think it isn't, but the eggshell path isn't for me. If I get zotted on the path for not being reverse PC, then is there a referee?
It's weird. I was also born into a smoking family. It has been almost twelve years since I left home. I cannot be around someone smoking. It really makes it difficult for me to breathe.
Big time.
Where he gets some of his notions I don't understand.
Which is why I can't recall ever disagreeing with Boortz. He's right on everything.
I was kidding....I guess I needed to put a laughing face after it.
I try not to feed such trolling efforts. You're entitled to your own beliefs.
