The ONLY reason rather is upset is that he was caught.
Notice how Rather only says he was sorry he included the documents in the story. (not that the FOUR YEARS THAT TURNED UP NOTHING was a phoney story)
This is lock step with DNC marching orders. Rather was asked, corection ORDERED to fall on his sword (a little bit).
This is so the new and improved 1970 version of Candidate 2004 Kerry can be unveiled.
Edwards is still MIA.

Let's pile on.
Personally, I don't think it is very professional to "pile on" to one of the DNC's butt boy anchormen, especially when he trips carrying Kerry's "night soil" and gets it all over himself. That Rather looks and smells so bad is no reason to critize another of his sleazy acts.

I'm re-reading Bias, by Bernard Goldberg. For those of you who haven't had the pleasure, go buy this book! Goldberg had Rather's number years ago, and he was the only one of the CBS lackey's who had the guts to speak out.
