I would say the father is in part responsible; make that "irresponsible," for putting his daughter in a potentially very dangerous position. Yeah, lets come down on the poor dad.
He made the mistake of thinking that we live in a free country, where we all can state our views without fear of reprisal and violence. He obviously was naive to some extent, and didn't know how the Kerry machine operates. Children are not exempt from their hatred and venom.
I'm sure the Dad now knows the score.

I think I know what I'm going to be doing tomorrow. Having a few Bush/Cheney signs printed up on heavy paper stock of the same type used on those joke untearable sugar packets. Then take some to a Kerry rally and watch the goons rupture themselves trying to rip them up.
