My guess is that the union was handing out free beer to those members that showed up -- it's how they get a crowd. With a few beers in them, some of their more intellectual members think they are justified in swinging at anything they feel like.

I wouldn't put my children into that vulnerable environment, but then again, I know what we all know about these scumbags.

I used to participate in all the rallies here in L.A., with my children. They used to be fun. And then these thugs started showing up and now I haven't been to one in years. They're vulgar and threatening.
