Check out the photo from yahoo. Only Kerry Supporters would do something so low.

I think that the bottom line to all of this is the statement said last night on this thread (don't ask me where):

Anyone's child would be perfectly safe at a Bush rally and a disrupter held up a pro-Kerry sign with their child on their shoulders.

THAT'S the TRUTH.

Sorry to be on that dogpile. Quite a few FReepers seem to be grabbing for the Dem conspiracy theory here though. It's no mystery though. Whether Parlock is a one man/family "Protest Warrior" or not assault is assault. And this was assault on him and his three year old girl.

PEOPLE!

Especially if new to this thread or issue.

Take the time now to read this FR thread from the beginning, in it's entirety! It will take a little of your time, but it will answer a lot of questions that have already been dealt with and resolved. Folks keep bringing up old stuff. Let's move forward on this.

Issue such as if the kid in the 'family photo' resembles the 'attacker', for instance. Dead Horse.GLENN BECK ON THE RADIO JUST HAD THE LITTLE GIRL'S FATHER ON AGAIN WHO SAID THE THUG IS NOT HIS SON!

Self Appointed Hall Monitor /Rant Off :-)

The point here is that in America, he not only has the right to be there, there should be no question as to safety. This was not a back alley, it was a political function at a public facility. Not only that, where was the secret service? Where was security? Where's the outrage on from Breck&Shrek?

It is absolutely shameful that people now have to think twice before taking the kids for a civics lesson. Perhaps Mom had a sprained ankle and couldn't go, or watch the small ones. Perhaps with 10 kids, Mom just needed a nap!

Safety should not be an issue. I don't know this dad's intent or heart, but it makes me angry that the liberals who are saying he shouldn't have been there are of the same camp that took their kids to a pro-abort march. There are pics. You know the funny thing there? They felt perfectly safe doing so...and for good reason. The true compassionate conservative right would never endanger a child.

I'm rambling, I know. But I'm angry. And I've only had 1 cup of coffee. Not a pretty combination.

Safety should not be an issue.

I agree. And I support our guy for showing up, even with his kids. But if you read a little history, you'll find that violence, even extreme violence, has been a common part of American politics since the beginning . . . it will not be unprecedented if things get ugly and physical during this election campaign . . . unfortunate, but not something to be surprised about . . . passions are running deep . . .

It's much like a three year old wearing a Yankees cap to a Yankees-Indians game at Jacobs Field. Only a moron would blame the parents if some dumbclinton messed with the child.

You are quite right.

If he were ejected by police or security for disruption I would have no problem. If he resisted them I would have no sympathy for him. But that is not the case here nor was it the case in Cincinnati where the heckler was put in a choke hold and thrown to the floor by another Union Thug. The left accepts and applauds assault when it serves their purposes.

(Abortion is a monumental example. It skips right past assault and battery and goes straight to murder.)

Oh, I know. I suppose what really chaps my fanny on this is that there had to be Secret Service around. If I were the candidate, any group would be warned that no violence or intimidating behavior would be tolerated -- on EITHER side.

from another thread

To everyone:

I am the eldest of the Parlock clan. I am Sophia's older sister. To clarify for all of you, the photo WAS NOT A SET-UP. Perhaps it is hard for some of you to believe that Kerry supporters really can be that cruel. She is crying real tears, the thug in the picture is NOT one of our brothers, Dad really IS upset, and boy on the right is a brother and has fists clenched ready to fight. I am disappointed that some of you think a Bush supporter would actually set something like that up. One of my other brothers has been on some of the other threads clarifying other questions. I thought I should get on here and clarify before things got blown out of proportion. To the rest of you who have shown nothing but support THANK YOU! Dad had no intention of causing problems. He merely took my sister and brother out to show support of the President. It is a sad day when we cannot assemble peacefully in support of the President. Someone mentioned it was a shame Dad took a 3-year old with him in protest. There is a difference in protesting and supporting. He was not heckling, not chanting, yelling, nor antagonizing. He was merely standing there with signs. There is no crime against that. This is America, one should think that he would be able to take his young daughter out and show support without being concerned about her safety among fellow West Virginians. Also, I am disappointed with the WV comment. No, not everyone in WV is related. BTW My brothers look NOTHING like that thug in the photo! Zoom in and take a better look!

People sometimes suck. A couple of years ago when the Titans played the Raiders in the AFC championship, a lot of Titans fans made the trip to Oakland. Before the game, they were told by police (POLICE!) not to wear Titans jerseys into the stadium because they WOULD be assaulted. Even the police had given on on civility. I don't think I'm ever going to leave the South. Heck, we even treat Ravens fans with respect here.

LOL, we don't treat them (or their team) with respect but I don't think even Raiders fans would mess with a three year old....let alone one of us doing it.

I deployed a looong time ago to enforce OSW (Summer 2000) but not for the Gulf War II or OEF. Damn the luck. And yes I love Texas and people here. Friendliest and most supportive of the troops of any state I have ever been stationed at.

I was so happy when I woke up this morning. My girlfriend was listening to KLIF and I woke up to the sound of Glen Beck talking to Phil Parlock. Glad to see this is getting more coverage.
