SEN. JOHN KERRY TO CROWD AS HE HELD UP GUN: I thank you for the gift, but I can't take it to the debate with me." (Darlene Superville, "Kerry Bolstered by Clinton Advice," Associated Press, 09/07/04)

So when are we gonna have a good old FReeper Target Practice party? He he he!!
Since Lurch always looks either dead or asleep; it'd be a great wake-up call for Doofus' "illegal" 12 semi-auto "assault" weapon. These jerks who know nothing about firearms drive my weely quazie.
Bush would be safe in the same place as Kerry with a gun so long as he kept facing him.
Kerry only shoots people in the back...
Works for me. I live in NC and go to three different ranges. At a minimum twice a week, depending on what I want to shoot. Trap, skeet, SASS or doing some speed pitsol target shooting with the Colt Woodsman, or the Browning .22 Challenger. In retrospect, I'd have not bought the tack driver. I guess my ego got in the way. Oh, well.
Series, If I could get some FReepers together, we could have loads of fun.
Next year I'm going to a SASS event in TN.
That sounds like fun! As a mom of 3 + one on the way, I don't get to target practice very often anymore.
As much as I think Kerry's a communist idiot...
I think it's a great line!
That isn't the point that agitates me really. I think it was a clever if offhand thing to say, and harmless. But if Bush had said it -- IT WOULD HAVE OPENED EVERY EVENING NEWS PROGRAM FOR DAYS!! And been spun to seem that Bush is a bullet-blasting lunatic and dangerous gun fanatic! That is what agitates me.
He commented on it very, very weakly. He was too busy talking about sleeping/eating disorders. What a wasted show today! Sometimes he's just totally self-indulgent.
The comment by Kerry was a serious one because of the way it could have affected disturbed individuals!
Rush was poor on this today!
You bring a shotgun, GW brings an M1A1 Abrams tank.
Note to the Kerry campaign: Don't bring a knife to a gun fight, you frigging idiot!
Late in the day I came to the conclusion that for Bush's safety, maybe it's better that nobody talk about it. Maybe that would be a way to keep the ignorant comment QUIET and prevent weirdos from getting stupid and dangerous ideas! What do you say?
He doesn't have to. Brit Hume and FoxNews aren't even talking about it, not a word!
----
Not one word of it so far.......................even on FoxNews. What a joke.
To quote your ugly, hagged-out, b!tch "wifey", Lurch: "Shove it!"

"It's not so harmless if it encourages one of his supporters to act on it.
I have a very low tolerance for jokes about shooting the president no matter how harmless the intent.
Remember how Hinckley shot Reagan because he thought it would impress Jodie Foster? Who's to say that Kerry's thoughtless remark won't plant the same idea in some unhinged supporter? Remember too how the 'rats have cultivated an atmosphere of extreme hatred for the president..."

"Saying that you want to be able to take a firearm to your debate with him could easily be construed as a threat.
It is also an inducement to others of like mind or on your "side" to signal your desire that they too should use a gun in a debate with President Bush.
Kerry is guilty of a Federal crime - he should be arrested, charged, and tried.
This is not a joke.
There are thousands of deranged, deluded, or ideologically motivated potential assasins out there.
Many would love to please the Democratic nominee, and he now has laughingly motivated them to harm the President.
This is NO joke.
It is very serious."

Just some thoughts about Kerry's very stupid remark! And, just think what would have happened to Bush if he said this!!!
Oh good Lord. This idiot only opens his mouth long enough to change feet.....
Kerry steps in it again!
Were this the other way around, the MSM would be frothing to report this and demand a retraction. No doubt about THAT! Oh, the hypocrisy. Rush mentioned this today, too. He shares your sentiment regarding the media.
By your other comments I assume you're a lady, and a lady, if she absolutely must duel, should refrain from dueling common poltroons and louts, such as "The Potemkin War Hero"...
the infowarrior
Has ANY party ever run a LESS presidential candidate?
Ever?
How about his Sesame Street "W is for wrong!" tripe? Have you ever heard anything so childish from a national figure? This immature clown is just unbelievable.
Can you just imagine if Bush would have said this? The liberal media would be calling for his head. Kerry is a complete fool.
