It is funny to see leftist politicians brandish a shotgun to prove that they will protect your "right" to hunt. You will never, never see them making a photo op at a range with a handgun or a rifle. You will never hear them say something favorable about the Second Amendment (unless they say it protects the National Guard), and you will never hear them support self defense. No, instead, they hold a shotgun (often ineptly or dangerously) and blather about "hunting." This is sooo transparent.

The first thing I thought was: When I was 10 years old, if I had taken a firearm from another person - in a crowd at that -- and began waving it around WITHOUT EVEN CHECKING THE ACTION TO SEE IF IT WAS LOADED, my dad would have taken me straight home, whipped my butt and would have locked my .22 rifle up for a year!

Right. And it illustrates the axiom that liberalism is the politics of denial. Aside from the political downside, you would never hear a conservative make this joke, indeed during the clinton regime no public figure did so, despite ample provocation. We don't think killing any president is funny.
Liberals actually think it's OK for them to say these things because they are oblivious to the intensity of anger and hate that lurks inside them. Indeed it is their lack of awareness which makes them dangerous.
To a man, and woman, they would vigorously deny that they would ever harbor a homicidal urge within themselves. They are just so much better, you see, than people who actually do such things.
As long as President Bush doesn't turn tail and run, he'll have no problem. Kerry-Heinz only shoots unarmed villagers in the back as they run away....

Good point in this discussion. I was told to lighten up on another thread of this subject when I voiced my disgust. I'm darn tired of "lightening up" and letting JFNKerry get away with even the slightest of goofs. We didn't fight hard enough in the 96 election or the 2000 election which our candidate barely won. We rolled over like puppies. The Purple Heart bandaids got headlines. This remark by a Presidential Candidate (for gawds sake) of the US in reference to the sitting President of the US is supposed to slide on by us to the nutz jobs out there who will think it's the way to win??????

The remarkable thing is that the "gift" was planned with Kerry's campaign, yet Kerry still made a mess of it.
This is a campaign that is TRYING to lose, and is doing a good job of it.

I've got a few .357s and do well with them. For tack punching, I just bought a .17 revolver with a 12" bbl. Put a 6x scope on it and can hit a golf ball at 100 yards on a sandbag rest. A fun weapon, but not real practical. My latest toolbox contribution is a .357 Ruger Bisely Vaquero for Cowboy Action shoots with SASS. Lot's of fun. Looking at a Marlin lever action to go along with the Stoeger 12 ga sbs Coach gun.
