THE full horror of the Russian school atrocity began to emerge yesterday as traumatised children told horrific tales of stabbed babies and brutal rapes.
It has also emerged that scores of the 323 who died - including many children - had been shot in the back.
While despairing soldiers and rescue workers moved among the growing pile of body bags, it was revealed that an 18-month-old baby had been repeatedly stabbed by a black-clad terrorist who had run out of ammunition.
Other survivors told how screaming teenage girls were dragged into rooms adjoining the gymnasium where they were being held and raped by their Chechen captors who chillingly made a video film of their appalling exploits
They said children were forced to drink their own urine and eat the petals off the flowers they had brought their teachers after nearly three days without food or water in the stifling hot gym.
Their stories came as Russian officials warned that the final death toll of the siege of Middle School No 1 at Beslan in North Ossetia - in which up to 1,200 people were held captive - was likely to be more than 400.
The official toll yesterday stood at 323 which included 156 children, 10 Russian soldiers and two emergency service workers - 35 of the hostage-takers were also killed. Last night 434 people were being treated in hospital with 247 children and 85 adults in a critical condition.
A Russian official said six seriously injured children had been taken to Moscow for treatment.
"One of them is a child, just 18 months old, with many knife wounds," he said.

This is beyond a Repubican/Democrat issue. The media has the same view of Orthodox Christians (especially Serbs and Russians) as the islamists do--they abhor them!!!! The people who run the media take their cues from the "human rightsers", who are at the bottom of much that is wrong with our society. It is the "human rightsers" who have taken a leading role in demonizing the Serbs and Russian leaders like Putin, and supporting the Croatian ustashe, the "Bosnian" islamists, and the KLA and Chechen bandit savages!!
It is very surprising--and frightening--how many "human rights" organizations are controlled by George Soros!!!! People who believe in REAL human rights--including the human rights of Serbs, Russians, and other Christians--need to establish new, Soros-free human rights organizations!!!!

All I said was that yes there are evil passages in the Koran, but also good. Evil men take evil passages and use them to justify their atrocities. People who read the bible did this in less modern times. Burning witches and so forth, before they were civilized. Muslims are way behind us in enlightenment and are stuck in a place which for us passed well over a century ago. In addition, many who are illiterate can't read the Koran for themselves, and are more influenced by jihad spiritual leaders. I don't blame the Koran any more than I blame the gun for murder. Wicked minds kill, not books and not guns.
Blaming evil men rather than a book does not make me a follower of Mohammed. I have never read the Koran, and if I follower Mohammed, I would. I know enough about him to stay miles away. Claiming I follow him will not have the effect of forcing me into your line of thinking. To help Muslims, we need to demonstrate that Christ is their Lord and Savior rather than demonizing these people, who Christ wants to come to Him as much as anyone else. Many already have, thank God.

I am not being an apologist. I merely said evil men kill, not books, just as guns don't kill, bad people do. The objective we should have is to bring Muslims to Christ, and demonizing them based on the religion they are forced to wear will not acheive that objective. I have met too many good people who are Muslims to believe they all have evil hearts. I used to be an atheist, but the Lord wrote the truth on my heart, and I believe many Muslims are the same way. Many who come to America hear the word and convert. One such couple were Iraqi, and they operated a liquor store down the road from where I used to live. Someone who probably believed that because they were Arab that they were Muslim, and threw a molotov cocktail at their store after 911. They were God-fearing Christians, and they ended up moving from the area to protect their kids.
I don't think that "School Number One" was an exclusively Christian school. Jews, Muslims and also atheists may have attended there.
