The pounding Kerry has been taking from the Swift Boat Veterans over his Vietnam record, and his concomitant poll plunge, is literally driving his liberal supporters crazy.
The evidence was at hand on last evening's Fox Media Watch (the rebroadcast of which I'm watching this morning at 6:30-7 AM EDT).
In all my years of watching the show, I cannot recall the resident liberals - Jane Hall (a woman of a certain age), and the small-but-perfeectly formed Neal Gabler - so absolutely beside themselves.
So frenzied was Gabler that you almost imagined the men in white suits would have to make an appearance before Gabler hurt someone or himself. He was apoplectic at the notion that the panel was discussing the merits of the issue at all, declaring that this just played into Karl Rove's diabolical plot. He simply wanted to declare that the allegations were false, a fraud, etc. and would brook no debate.
Biting the Fox paw that feeds her, Jane Hall blamed "the cable news networks" for perpetuating the story. Both the libs agreed that it was wrong of the media to present both sides of the story, since in their view there is only one side - all the Swift Boat Vets for Truth are lying.
When Cal Thomas attempted to cite the statement by William L. Schachte Jr., a retired rear admiral, to the effect that he was on the same small boat as Kerry but did not witness any enemy fire during the event for which Kerry received his first Purple Heart, Gabler totally lost it. He screamed and cut Cal off, determined that there would be no more discussion of the issue.
Never have I seen the libs in such blind panic and fury. They know that Kerry's lies about his record have come home to roost and will ultimately cost him the election. It was glorious!
LOL. You can't wear size 34 .... ROTFL!!!!!
Haven't spent much time wading the sewers at the DU, have you?
It's because they have a very long time horizon for their master plan - Socialism. And it doesn't have to be implemented overnight or even in this generation. All they have to do is add a successive layer of benefits until a tipping point is reached that creates a permanent Dem majority.
Why should they, as long as their squawling brat behavior is getting them what they want? If a kid throws a hissy fit every time mama says "no," when he wants a candy bar and she ends up giving him the candy bar to shut him up, what do you think is going to happen the next time she tells him no?
Will C-SPAN be carrying the entire convention? Where I live now, I don't get Fox, and I refuse to watch the tripe on CNN and the alphabet networks.

The Dems SUCK at keeping secrets.
They are desperate enough that you'd have seen
the Bush Dirt(TM) by now.
I expect massive voter fraud, on the order of
MILLIONS of votes.
One of my fondest fantasies is that all the democRATs would be stricken with the malady that afflicted Jim Carrey in Liar, Liar. Can you imagine the angst and sheer torment they would be in if everytime they opened their mouths, the truth came out? Besides, that would be the best reality show ever! Repiblicans would probably have to be medicated to calm the fits of delirious laughter that would spontaneously etupt erupt from watching them.
.
Lehane was gibbering about some of the current Dhemmi talking points, and finally Kelly Anne and John Gibson decided to ignore him for a while, and focus on talking the real facts of the discussion they were attempting to have. After a minute, Lehane broke back into the discussion, still yammering his talking points like a neutered French poodle.
Blond conservative goddess Kelly Anne let Lehane have between the eyes: "Yip, yip, yip, yip, yip", mocking Lehane for the poodle that he was.
I just about died laughing.
*** Jane Hall blamed "the cable news networks" for perpetuating the story ***
Nina Totenberg, having received her daily DNC talking points, said the same thing on the CBS show, whatever it's called ... as did the fat guy ... but Charles Krauthammer was ON .. he was not brooking any of their BS. At one point he was explaining the SBV position, and when Nine interrupted, he said "I'm in the middle of a sentence here!" and shut her up, FAST. But not for long.
The beauty of the SBV issue is that they have shown beyond doubt the bias of the MSM and its current ineffectiveness.
When compared to CNN, MSNBC, the alphabet networks, etc., but the only reason they appear conservative is because conservatives are allowed to have a voice and it is given legitimacy, unlike on other cable networks where the only role of any conservative is whipping boy for the rabid liberals.
You probably like horror movies, too.

He killed Kenny?
I saw that and was shocked. As you mentioned, Brown is normally quite pleasant and polite, and I was amazed at how discourteous and aggressive he was. Has the Swift Boat bug bitten him too?
I think the Democrats who have access to inside info know the election is Bush's to lose. Kerry is out of it unless something out of the ordinary hits the news. With all the anti-Bush 527 stuff that's been shown, the Democrats shot their wad long ago.
The Kerry Vietnam fantasy will be haunting him and sapping his strength and funds all the way to the election. I expect Kerry is going to have a Dean moment on national television. His present mental state has to be extremely ragged. The polls are showing his campaign breakdown. The only question in my mind is if he can get re-elected in Massachusetts. I suspect he will, given the history of voting for the likes of Teddy Kennedy but a good candidate has a chance of giving him a real run especially with everything that's being dredged up.
Nope. It's the heat of truth that has created their own private hell.
I think C-Span will cover the entire convention. I'll hope so for your sake :-)
So do I. I DO want to see it, and of course, I will be here where we will get to heart of things, no matter what.
You had it right the first time.
