I know some Russian and can read Cyrillic alphabet, but can't translate words directly. I am also part Polish. One of my uncles is running around eastern Europe to find out how far our roots go. The facts were stored in Orthodox Church directories which were hidden for ~ 70 years while the communists were in power. Those directories were brought out of careful storage when you became free again. There was an underground during those times.
