What the hell is a "sign on number"?
I've been here since May and have often found it difficult to get responses/feedback from most of my posts. Seems as though there are a lot of "mini groups" that talk back and forth. Am confident that my inputs are worthy, but often get discouraged. Just my 2 cents.

Well it used to show up on the text bar at the bottom of the screen after your name...

I like this place. I've met more like-minded people here on FR than I have anywhere else. It's always good to be able to hop on and see that a hundred other folks are ranting at the same things I am. Keeps me sane, I suppose...

Occasionally I feel like a pro-lifer at the Democratic National Convention. Some people assume certain things if you don't agree with them in lock step. The funny thing is I've been reading FR since 97/98. I had some fun at some anti-Clinton protests at the time and only recently started to regularly read and post.
When my credentials are questioned, its good to have some 'old school' references to calm people down.
I've lurked here for a blue moon, but I joined tonight and just did my first post...

i don't know what a sign on number is but i'm new.
everything will be good when i learn who the jerks are and who the people are who are fun and provide informative discussion...but that's like anywhere else.
