The President spoke at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Convention at the Dr. Albert B. Sabin Cincinnati Cinergy Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. While in Ohio, he visited the museum to the Underground Highway.
The President flew to Michigan where he appeared at a campaign rally in Traverse City, Michigan. The crowd here was wildly supportive of the President, yelling out positive statements throughout his speech. (clip shown at end of Brit Hume's news hour.)
There are some real characters at those protests!
Most of them are confused old ladies and union workers. And then you have the hippies with the drums and unwashed hair...YIKES!
Three girls; 8,5, and 3. :) They are the joy of my life! In fact I need to go and finish getting them in bed, read a story and kiss them good night. Will all of you still be here in the next 30 minutes or so. I missed you all last night and I have been sort of grumpy today because of it! :) You all really lift my spirits about the world I live in. It's nice to know there are sane people still in the world.
Oh, Guff! You make me blush!
I'm not brave, I just love stirring the pot when it's easily stirred-all you have to say to those people is "Bush" and they act like your grandmother did the first time you blurted out a 4-letter-word when you were a kid!
Remember the taste of soap? I DO!
Barney is absolutely awesome!
Today dose it up I am moving to it see you there
I should still be around!
Is that sort of similar to the electoral college? I'm not sure? Politics in America are fun but this year has not been as fun for me. Maybe it's because so much is at stake and half of America is so apathetic or insane!! I just cannot fathom voting for John Kerry, especially after 9-11.
I'm gonna join snugs on the new Dose!
I'm BAAAACK!
Bush IS an four letter word! LOL
Is anyone having trouble getting the book Unfit to command? For 2 weeks Barnes and Noble still claims that it has not received any books.
Awww, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad.
I am very familiar with congestive heart failure - everyone in my family - well, my forebears at least, died of it.
The great news is that they have some really wonderful medicines today. My Mom had her first heart attack when she was only 49 yet she lived a happy and full and active life (yes, with several more heart attacks along the way) until she was 88.
I will certainly pray for your Dad. And if he's not on a ventilator now, the likelihood that he'll wind up on one while he's in the Hospital this time are pretty close to nil. It's the next trip you need to worry about. Usually it's the presenting symptoms that get one put on a ventilator.
Prayers up for your Dad.
Truthy
