The President spoke at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Convention at the Dr. Albert B. Sabin Cincinnati Cinergy Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. While in Ohio, he visited the museum to the Underground Highway.

The President flew to Michigan where he appeared at a campaign rally in Traverse City, Michigan. The crowd here was wildly supportive of the President, yelling out positive statements throughout his speech. (clip shown at end of Brit Hume's news hour.)

That's an idea!
I have no shame, I was wearing it in the middle of the whacko kerrybots.
It was a "how do you like me now?" situation. Drove 'em nuts!

I can understand that, my uncle is a pacifist Quaker college prof.
You can imagine why grandma sits us at separate tables on holidays!
We love each other until politics comes up. Plus, I always trump him in arguments and he gets whiny!
Ha!

My husband doesn't mind a Bush bumpersticker, just not that one! LOL i guess I can see his point. It would look funny for a man to have that on his vehicle. I drive it most of the time, but the times he's in it, he might get a few stares; well in the South at least. We're not a real sensitive lot down here. Excuse me for a moment, I need to tend to some sweet little ones.

Your hubby doesn't want to come across as a "McGroovy" guy?

I have never protested, but I bet it would be fun to be at one of Kerry's speeches banging the flip flops together. The types of people would be interesting to see at one of his rally's too. I always have a picture of beatniks or hippies in my head, so I would like to go to one to see if my beliefs about that are confirmed.

Blair is a Socialist which maybe is a bit different to a liberal I think there is a difference in American and British terminology and ideology in politics with terms "socialist and liberal".

Whereas the leader of my party Michael Howard is I would say more right wing than GWB but not as much to the right as Dick Cheney

Thats my observation anyhow it would be interesting to see how you Americans view my thoughts

You're being quiet, are you busy tooling around looking at the other threads? See any interesting ones?

I would love to have a close hand look at the politics of Britain. I would especially like to go back in time to meet Winston Churchill. He was one of the most amazing political figures of his time. One day I would like to visit and sit in one of the parliament meetings.

I'm here!
Actually, I took a mini break! I missed a lot though...
Heh, yes, I can understand why that particular bumpersticker would make your husband a little uncomfortable! I liked your McGreevey comment--too funny!
How many sweet little ones do you have?

The majority of my family is pro-Bush. I have one set of dear friends who are anti Bush though. I do not believe they are voting at all this time. I hate that they do not like Bush, but am relieved they will not vote Kerry.

I was with phancy when she wore the sticker on her shirt!
She was brave, especially with those rowdy people!
I like the GWB-pic on the shirt idea!!

**I would love to have a close hand look at the politics of Britain.**

I feel similar about America there are aspects that I can follow up to a certain extend and then I get lost. Your voting seems strange to me as I am used to voting for a local Member of Parliament and whoever is the leader of the party that gets the most seats in Parliament is then Prime Minister; so we do not seem to get so centred on actually voting for a particular person more voting for the party.
