Hey Daisy Mae here. I was out sniffin around for rabbits when I noticed This Space For Rent billboard. Hmmmm...evidently JohnHuang2 and mom are both on vacation today (along with a few other regulars).

Since this space is up for grabs and Dog Days are over I guess it's time for me to do a little work in here in place of Aquamarine.

Now Weinie would have been here to help me out if she hadn't had to go to a better place so soon and Gizzy, well, he's just been layin down on the job (sez he's on vacation again).
Meanwhile I've been sittin here scratchin my head trying to figure out what The Finest crew would enjoy the most and knowing how much you all love being served breakfast AND luv Dubya I thought the perfect post would be for President Bush to come by and fix some breakfast for The Finest family this morning.

He seemed to know how much everyone at The Finest adores him and was happy to take a few moments out of his important campaign schedule to come by and fix some pancakes for us all! Yeah!!!

OK....so he cooks like a guy....that's a good thing! :)

Seriously folks, we need this man in the Whitehouse for 4 more years so PLEASE be sure to tell everyone that you know to get out there and vote this November!

Now I'm going back to what I do best, chasin rabbits and smellin flowers.

1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar.
2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up.
3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit.
4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it.

I was unable to get a clear shot of Bush, and the one I was looking for the most was one I couldn't find anywhere. I captured it on the Monitor, and I'll post it here. It was that moment when he and Laura first appeared, walking into the area to the podium. It was like children seeing Santa Claus!

I absolutely LOVE Bassets, but have become very attached to Black Lab mixes............I better say that considering they are both surrounding my chair as I type this!!!

We've got no rain here whatsoever - and as much as I can't believe I am about to say this - I wish it would because it is so still and so sticky at the moment.

It's times like this when I actually dread rain - hot, hazy, humid, and still - it's when the worst storms erupt. Not only are we under severe storm alerts until tomorrow, they've now issued a tornado warning until tonight.

Thank you, Billie.........we are trying our best to not let it go to her head. I've had more than one professional photographer offer to do a portfolio, gratis, but the whole idea scares the dickens out of me. I just want her to be a little girl, a child doing the things children do.

OH MY GOSH! That AOL Straw Poll I showed results for on Tuesday's thread now shows Bush with 525 Electoral Votes to Kerry's 13! LOL! What is going on?!!! (Kerry's only claims are Vermont 3, Connecticut 7, and DC 3.) Sigh! :)

My mom was a model and it seems I heard more horror stories about that time of her life than good stories (although there were lots of wonderful ones). But it was enough to turn me off the idea of going into it.

I also think about the mothers of children like Jon Bonet Ramsey and get the chills..........I want my little girl to be a little girl and enjoy being a child - not a little "woman" before she should be.
