The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

Good for you, Today believe it or not alot of cops don't like training with their Firearm. It's a Hassle, and that is scary. Alot of it come from the City they work for, The New Sensitive PD.......Very Sad.

Did you read the Time Magazine article on Las Vegas a couple issues ago. Talking about the "wife swapping" Friday nights at the House of Blues. I guess that is what all those LV commercials are selling to everyone. No Rules, etc.

I totally agree with you about cops and firearms training. The sad thing is they need to improve their skills vastly to compete with the added problem of terrorism.

How can a cop with a 9mm pistol and range scores in the high 70's and low 80's compete with a terrorist who is similarly armed, motivated, and has practiced?

We wont even go into military type weapons they can encounter, like crew served weapons, automatic rifles, and RPG's.

There is a lot of evolution that needs to occur in that arena.

Tampa is the home of BOTH CENTCOM (Central Command) the HQ currently directing both the Iraq and Afghanistan operations AND SOCOM (Special Operations Command) who are the folks the Jihadis really hate! For a while Vegas sold its kid-friendly theme with amusement rides and ads geared to setting family vacations there. Now they are going back to their sin-city roots, and what you mentioned fits right in with that picture. Sex clubs there are proliferating. Clearly someone is patronizing them (in multitude). Maybe we should be checking those strip clubs for jihadis at this point in time, as that's what the last bunch did before their evil deed was commenced.

First you have to understand that for us, our newfie (Newfoundland water rescue dog) is more like a child with whom we carry on full conversations going both ways. Yeah we're nuts, I know. We got Missy (Miss America) in March of 2002, after our first newfie passed away in Febuary. Missy was the monster alpha of the litter. Her grandparents are all huge in excess of 150 pounds. We spoil her rotten.

We were giving her too many treats and she got up to 138 which we didn't think was too bad and then she tore her anterior cruchet ligament (the football injury). She had surgery (nearly $3000 ~gulp~) and rehab and accupuncture treatments. So the Doc said to avoid another knee blowout we had to put her on a diet and since then she's lost almost 32 pounds! Wish I could. Now she's fully recovered and regaining her childhood, running, jumping and playing with the senior citizen cats (usually covering them in huge licks). We sometimes refer to her as "wild eyed love."

Next March, we hope to pick up her sister from the same breeder in San Antonio, Texas. She, we will name: Miss Liberty or Libby for short.
