We were giving her too many treats and she got up to 138 which we didn't think was too bad and then she tore her anterior cruchet ligament (the football injury). She had surgery (nearly $3000 ~gulp~) and rehab and accupuncture treatments. So the Doc said to avoid another knee blowout we had to put her on a diet and since then she's lost almost 32 pounds! Wish I could. Now she's fully recovered and regaining her childhood, running, jumping and playing with the senior citizen cats (usually covering them in huge licks). We sometimes refer to her as "wild eyed love."
Next March, we hope to pick up her sister from the same breeder in San Antonio, Texas. She, we will name: Miss Liberty or Libby for short.
I do not think you are nuts whatsoever at all. They are my children. I play them classical music and spoil them rotten like all animals deserve. :)
I forgot to add that I am very happy that Missy is doing well.
