John Kerry visits Flagstaff, Arizona. The Republican Party had a simple message for the simple-Senator...."4 more years"
John Kerry visited Flagstaff, Arizona on August 8th, 2004. Flagstaff Republicans has a simple message for him....NO THANKS. (please let pictures load) Volunteers stood outside City Hall and Humphreys street for hours. Later, the group went to see Kerry getting off the train. Unfortunately all Senator Kerry could hear was "4 more years" and " lets go Bush!" from our volunteers. Good job guys ! |
The counter-rally went TERRIFIC. We received a great deal of publicity from the local papers and news-networks as well as positive feedback from the community. The BEST part of the counter-Rally occurred when one of our club members decided to meet John Kerry. He was in a prime location, very close to the Senator. Kerry approached our club member and was prepared to shake his hand, when the young man held up a "BUSH CHENEY" sign with both hands right in front of Kerry. This made the Senator pull his hand back, look away and pretend he never saw it. Thank you Joe !!! For more information please visit our website: http://www.NAUrepublicans.com

LOVE that last picture!!! Great job FReeper!
At our state fair (WI), they are selling t-shirts with the picture of Kerry in the bunny-suit that says 'John Kerry, Reporting for Duty". My husband wanted one so badly, but they were sold out! I did get the bunny-suit one as a button, though. It would be hilarious to sneak up and shake his hand wearing that t-shirt!
Fantastic! Glad to hear about your great success!
You guys rock!! The pictures are great. You all did an awesome job. When I clicked on that first picture I was not prepared for that audio clip and I almost jumped off of my chair. LOL! It really startled me. I bet I don't forget to turn the volume back down before I come on line next time. :-)
Taxman Bravo Zulu!
My family and I lived in Flagstaff FRom January, 1975 until August, 1981. I loved Flagtown! Every day I wish I were still living there! (First ex-wife and kids sort of forced me to move to Kali-fornia.)
Earned my MBA at NAU. Then, it was a great little University -- heard some rumblings that the PC crowd has taken over since I left -- wouldn't know it by your post, though!
I am so happy to see young people getting involved in politics. Wonderful pictures and great job!
