In Rush's closing segment he said that he just received a story or document saying that lawyers for both the Kerry and Edwards teams were sending out letters to TV stations warning them about showing the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth advertisement!
Blood in the water.....
You got the right take Jan. the more they cry the bigger a story it becomes, let the tears flow.
Wow, thought you were being a real jerk, until I realized that you were talking to yourself...
This is great it will do the opposite, more curiosity will be generated just what they needed.
kerry brought an expert on board (edwards).
Eeeexcellent!
Typical liberal. Kerry can dish it out but he can't take it. Yes, he must be terrified of the swift boat vets' ad because it's TRUE. If he sues radio stations, that will backfire in a big way, because Americans don't like censorship combined with abuse of power. If Kerry starts suing radio stations for running this ad, his campaign is going to implode (if it hasn't already)!
oh, that's right.
I even put down his website the other day so I can e-mail him if I want to interview him for the paper.

THE RNC ON THE SWIFT BOAT VET AD [08/05 02:45 PM]
Just chatted with Christine Iverson, spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, about the Swift Boat Vets ad:
Iverson: "It is important to remember that we have never and will never question John Kerry's service in Vietnam. The Democrats may try to claim otherwise, but that is not the case. We have questioned his statements on war on terrorism, but not his service in Vietnam."
Kerry Spot: What about the anti-war protests afterwards?
Iverson: "We have not questioned his service in Vietnam. We're focusing on his inability to explain his vote on the $87 billion and his changing stand on the Iraq war."
Kerry Spot: Um, when you say "his service in Vietnam" is that a blanket term that includes his anti-war protests after he served?
Iverson: "I dont know that weve ever discussed that. The issue that Democrats dont want to discuss is his voting record. They didnt want to discuss before the convention, during the convention, and after the convention. The real question is, 'why is John Kerry running away from his own voting record?"
bring it on! the more they threaten, the better publicity. the media is, typically, trying to ignore this ad...
For awhile I was concerned that the commercial and book would backfire. If this report is true, I'm not concerned anymore.
This is/would be the stupidest thing that they could do. It would be like Bush sueing CNN for running a clip of Al Gore shouting, He betrayed this country! It just pushed it to the top of every newscast around the world. Nice work guys
Clever idea. Glad you're on our side!
Maybe they want a gag-order to stop the commericals or any discussion about his record until the trial.
I triple dare Kerry to sue Veterans 3 months before the election.
Love the attention this will give the Swiftvets.
I knew this election would be nasty but this is insanse and it's early August.
Yeah, but it doesn't seem like they're actually going after SwiftVets. That would be a direct challenge, which would ultimately collapse on them. They're going after the messenger, who is more likely to back down.
What were the reasons? Illegal use of images or video? Slander? What?
notice they sent WARNINGS not any actual law suits filed...
Great post guy.
