In Rush's closing segment he said that he just received a story or document saying that lawyers for both the Kerry and Edwards teams were sending out letters to TV stations warning them about showing the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth advertisement!

"If he lied to the media and lied to Congress (as he asserted in 2001, "the words of an angry young man") then he was a traitor to his country in a time of war. He provided aid and comfort to the enemy and demoralized the troops.
If he told the truth about violating the Geneva Conventions, then he is an unindicted war criminal."
Check out my tagline - have used it for months - I knew this would come back to bite him. Let's hope it's good and hard!

Man, I just sent the Swift Boat Vets for Truth a nice donation. This is the sort of thing I've been waiting for! Of course I want Bush to have nothing to do with this. He should just leave those Vietnam Veterans to express their own 1st ammendment rights just as Kerry's band of brothers did. Just like George Soros, Michael Moore, Whoopie Goldberg, The NAACP, The Teamsters Union etc. Hey, last night is the first time I ever went to a "contribute" link during this election so far. We need to keep this ad running until election day. We have them on the run like a scalded dog (to quote my mama).

Did Bush sue when the NAACP ads came out connecting him to the murder of the man in Vidor? I guess free speech only applies to the Michael Moores of this country.

>>>In addition to TV, the Swift Boat Vets need to come up with a link to a streaming video, that can be emailed in a viral marketing sort of way...<<<
It's on their website: http://www.swiftvets.com
I can't get in to the website at the moment... so either a LOT of people are trying to see the video at the same time or the DNC is doing a Denial of Service attack.

...surprised kerry didn't similarly threaten the authors Kerry figures that:
1.) diehard Dims don't care and "anybody but Bush"
2.) most of the "undecided" are that way because they don't read non-fiction and get all their info from the lamestream,
which is loathe to report negatively on anything from the left.
3.) and CBS's 60 Minutes isn't going to notice an anti-Kerry book, unless the Clintons sanction it.
To: keysguy
No, he'll probably have Kerry on there crying about being "lied" on. "Bring it on". Oooops. Sorry, that's his line.

My issue is that Kerry/Edwards feel they have the right to threaten these vets' right to free speech by attempting to intimidate media outlets with lawsuits.
What are you afraid of, Senator? If you service is above reproach, if you feel it is worthy to be the centerpiece of this campaign, then why not let that service stand on its own record?
Kerry hasn't changed. After the passage of the years he STILL attacks the veterans of Vietnam.
