In Rush's closing segment he said that he just received a story or document saying that lawyers for both the Kerry and Edwards teams were sending out letters to TV stations warning them about showing the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth advertisement!

McCain's complaining and now this will guarantee that word gets out.

No surprise there. First thing I thought of when I heard Edwards' voice in that commercial. And him a lawyer. Nope, no surprise there.
This and McCain's squawking should give it some publicity it wouldn't otherwise have gotten.

I think they are good to focus on that.
I am sure that will be a big focus of the convention.
I do wish they would talk about the anti-war protests though.

Just saw a headline on Drudge that military support for W is 58 percent; for kerry, 35 percent. What are those 35 percent thinking?

"rather than going after veterans...they will go after the stations"exactly. The john/Johns are stupid but not that stupid, they will never go after vets, there would be way to much fallout, not even top/rats can get away with that. It will always be someone else's fault, like the vast right wing conspiracy.

The Swift Boat Vets for Truth ad should be shown in movie theaters -- immediately preceding and following Jabba the Moore's "F9/11" trash flick!

Lawsuits and the threat of lawsuits was one of the principle means by which the Roman Republic was destroyed. You could look it up.
Is that where we get the word Tort-ellini?

"That quote has a very different meaning in context."Doesn't matter ... I have a large framed poster "The First Thing We Do is Kill All the Lawyers" in the foyer of my court reporter office.
It does get their attention when they come in.

In addition to TV, the Swift Boat Vets need to come up with a link to a streaming video, that can be emailed in a viral marketing sort of way...

I really don't have a problem with companies that refused to show MoveOn.org's ads refusing this one too. CBS, in particular, took a stand that they would not run the 527 ads, at least during the Super Bowl and other major events. So it would only be consistent if they refuse to run these ads as well.
However, any company that ran MoveOn.org's ads have no defense if they refuse to run the Swift Boat ads. CNN, in particular, showed the anti-Bush ads so I would expect they would show this too. Otherwise, they would be hypocrites.
