In Rush's closing segment he said that he just received a story or document saying that lawyers for both the Kerry and Edwards teams were sending out letters to TV stations warning them about showing the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth advertisement!

Evidently Kerry can't handle the truth! (Most bully posers can't!)

Yes, it is. Just let him unleash his lawyers.
If he really wants to "go there", then all it will do is draw more attention to the ad. Stupid move.

"Could this be a setup?" Great question it's always a mistake to underestimate an ambulance chaser, they don't get rich by being stupid.

If its not true, why don't they ignore the charges? The fact their lawyers are strongarming over the ads reminds me of the old adage where there's smoke... I guess the Swift Boat ad is coming too close to home for comfort.

yeah, they've earned their rights. I have a feeling that a few things have happened today that Kerry will regret - the comments about Bush on 9/11 earlier today, and now this...

I am also pretty darn sure the Swift Boat Vets for Truth have had long and consequence-laden discussions with a battery of attorneys, excellent legal minds, about what they would be facing if they stepped into the limelight to expose the slime. IMO, they are acting with equal, though a different form of, courage compared with 'nam.John O'Neill, a former Swiftboat commander an founder of this organization, IS himself a lawyer.

Helps the media ignore the content of the ads and just focus coverage on spinning the ads as 'dirty tricks'... and spinning themselves out of an audience. You nailed it

And a lot of local stations will now show it on the local news for free!Hope you are right but I am skeptical. I don't trust the networks or the local affiliates.

Great minds...
This is either TOO good to be true, or the Kerry camp is too stupid to live.

Odell was on one of three boats when Kerry pulled Rasmussen out of the water. 1 boat was hit by mine and blown out of the water. Odell's boat stayed to pick up injured. No fire from banks. Kerry fled the kill zone. Rasmussen fell off the boat when Kerry sped up quickly. Kerry turned around to pick up rasmussen, and then continued leaving.

Man, I just sent the Swift Boat Vets for Truth a nice donation. This is the sort of thing I've been waiting for! Of course I want Bush to have nothing to do with this. He should just leave those Vietnam Veterans to express their own 1st ammendment rights just as Kerry's band of brothers did.
To: daybreakcoming
Swift boat vets were on stage in Boston endorsing Kerry. Now Swift boat vets do not endorse Kerry and Kerry wants to shut them up!

I'm listening to Medved too. If I understand this guy correctly Kerry did save the guy but then ran leaving others in the water under fire. Everyone (including O'Reilly) is talking about Kerry saved a guys life so this ad is unfair. Allow me an analogy. You know, if you give your employer an honest day's work and he gives you an honest day's pay, that does not give you the right to go into his office the next day and steal money out of the petty cash box. One good (heroic) deed does not validate despicable behavior at a later date.
