Bostonians' sweeping concerns over gridlock and other Democratic National Convention week headaches have been overblown by a ``mean-spirited'' media, Sen. John Kerry's daughter Alexandra said.
``I think it's sad that that's something that's been perpetuated in the press,'' Kerry's daughter told reporters during a conference call yesterday. ``I think sometimes the press likes to perpetuate controversy. Some of it has been mean-spirited.''
Kerry said she's heard her father talk about the massive road closures and other security woes. Still, the tight-knit clan is looking forward to the July 26-29 Democratic shindig at the FleetCenter.
``I think it is a positive celebration,'' she said. ``I think for people in some ways . . . it is an inconvenience. Certainly my family is very concerned about something that would disrupt people's lives.''
The senator's daughter made the comments while discussing her family's plans for the week leading up to the DNC. She will accompany her father on the campaign trail to his birthplace of Aurora, Colo., Sioux City, Iowa, and Philadelphia before hitting the red carpets in the Hub.
``We're going to go pave the way for the welcoming committee in Boston,'' she said of plans for her and her sister, Vanessa, to arrive in the Hub this weekend.
What a snob! What, because your daddy is sKerry, it's okay to disrupt the lives of average Americans.
Not only that shes cross boobied like cross eyes but different
LMAO I needed that!
Bless her heart, she "thinks" too much.
I wonder if sKerry realizes the tartar buildup on those huge horse teeth of his.
Thanks for the pics of two smart and attractive women. That was needed to wipe the ghastly image of the Kerry spawn from my brain...
LOL. Come on, she didn't do anything bad to deserve this. Did she?
This is going to be more of an inconvenience than she realizes. I live in Boston (a mere couple of blocks from Kerry's house) and know plenty of folks who were forced to use their vacation time next week to accomodate this liberal lovefest.Hotels were strongarmed by the city to give the visiting Democrats preferential rates. Many of my neighbors (the types who plan to vote for Kerry, and talk about it ad nauseum) are leaving anyway because they fear a major terrorist attack either on the Fleet Center or on Kerry's home. I live a block from the Fleet Center's outer "security perimeter" (which runs along Cambridge St., one of the roads that will likely be impossible to travel on for 8 hours/day) and will be most grateful if my car and home escape vandalism next week. Justified stressing over one's home and belongings is more than an "inconvenience"
Mon père français déteste l'Amérique.
Je déteste l'Amérique chrétienne conservatrice aussi.
I had the misfortune of visiting Hanscombe AFB in Lexington for work last year.
What do people do out there?! I asked the desk for a descent local place and they tried to send me to Chili's. I said: "No, like 'local'--where the natives eat and drink?" So they tried to send me to an Indian restaurant in Arlington Heights.
I spent the evenings drinking beer and eating in my room...
I had the pleasure of flying out of Loganistan Airport the next day.
You may have your reasons for staying, but I have never hated a place so much in my life--when I mentioned how much the place sucks to the checkout guy at Trader Joe's (I needed more beer), he said: "Yeah, that's why everybody here is moving to New Hampshire..."
She's certainly proof that wealth doesn't automatically buy someone class. She's about as tacking looking as someone could look --- she's got bright red toenail polish. I wonder if she looked in the mirror that day and even had a second thought about the way she was dressed --- or if she thought she looked great?
Peek-a-boo's in a snit.
Mean spirited to the Right not to the Left......This proves once and for all PeekABoo lives on another planet....
My company will be short-staffed next week because some will not be able to make it home when the roads close after 4, but they know that I live a 5 minute walk from the office, so I have no choice. Lexington, Bedford are the "country" to me...I wouldn't want to live there either! If I had to live in a suburb, it would be in one over the New Hampshire line...not far at all from Boston, no sales tax, liquor is really cheap and fireworks can be obtained legally :)
Women in glass blouses shouldn't throw stones.
Just OUCH! No one ever told me my bright red toenail polish was tacky, but you can bet I'm taking if OFF right now!
I do have some taste, and wouldn't be caught dead in that outfit ...
sw
All that money and they couldn't spring for braces....
How old is she? She can't be too young the way she's sagging.
You noticed too huh? She is REALLY sagging. Maybe her daddy will put her in touch with his botox doc.
Many of my neighbors (the types who plan to vote for Kerry, and talk about it ad nauseum) are leaving anyway because they fear a major terrorist attack either on the Fleet Center or on Kerry's home.
AlQuada isn't known for killing their own candidates.
