As I predicted.
How does this affect Hillary?
She has previously mentioned an October surprise.
To get Kerry off the ticket, Edwards would move to spot #1. Would a ticket with 2 single-term Senators work? Probably not. Barring some great secret, it would be difficult to pry Edwards off the ticket.
Thus, the October surprise now seems moot. It would seem most likely that Hillary has written off 2004, expects (and may even help coordinate) a Kerry-Edwards loss, and has clear sailing to 2008.
Unless GWB's numbers plummet to the low 40's, it would seem Hillary may bypass 2004.
Be prepared for Bush to counter with Giuliani or McCain as his running mate. Probably McCain because he's viewed as strong on defense but also diplomatic. Go W Go!! Edwards will not help Kerry much in the South because he's not the presidential candidate!
The unions is not going to like this one.. Botox Boy and Breck Girl..
So Kerry picks the guy he said was far too inexperienced to be president. Did he lie then, or is he playing politics over national interest? Could be both I guess.
That's why this link makes so much more sense: http://www.whiskeycreekpress.com/bestsellers.shtml.
there goes Tort reform if they win.
There goes the gun makers if they win
There goes business if they win.
This was decided back when Edwards was invited to the Bildergroup meeting a couple months back.
You know, that group that only exists in the minds of us tinfoil hat folks?
Good news. Kerry and the democrats put too much stock in Edward's looks and not enough stock in experience. They went with a good looks idea. Not a good thing for Kerry - He is so totally inexperienced in foreign affairs and only has had one term in the Senate. Cheney will blow this guy away.
Yuch.
It's Edwards (for Kerry's V.P.) Well, this time for SURE ! haha ! At appx. 8:06 Central Time,
Kerry announced John Edwards for V.P.Two John's on the 'RAT ticket !
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my General Interest ping list!. . .don't be shy.
One of the most liberal Senators in the US Senate teams up with a very left-leaning former trial lawyer. In the end, this ticket may turn off a lot of voters because you know they may end up pandering to the Michael Moore ultra-Left crowd.
Beauty over substance...Y'all realize while this was necessary.
This will give sKerry a bump in the polls just because people like new things - though these days, only for about 10 minutes. Edwards will remind everyone of the last car salesman they felt swindled by, or else the last TV preacher who tricked their grandma out of her last $20 bucks. He's slimey.
Remember the "you can buy a muffler with the Bush tax cut" presentation Daschle used?
Edwards made his fortune from class action litigations, sort of the same deal. He made millions on class action cases where the class action plaintiffs each got like $52 or whatever.
And how about the litigation files in those cases? I bet he took some pretty outrageous positions on brief in those cases.
So we have two johns on the ticket.
Just waiting for the first good jokes on this obvious pun...

I'm very surprised by the choice. Edwards stance on Tort Reform is going to play well for the President's reelection.
