Definitely. I think it was smart of the Bush campaign to put Kerry's book as recommended reading on their website...did you read what Amazon said about it?

The guy is dangerous and people had better wake up to it and soon. AND, the Bush people would do well to talk about what is in that book!

"McCain may as well...be a Democrat..!!"

Well at least he's pro-life, last time I checked. McCain isn't loony, he just gets too emotional at times and makes some statements that sound too liberal for a Republican. Heck, if everything you and I said was reported in the media, we'd appear to be loony too. (At least I would.) It's tough living constantly in the media spotlight.

Kerry's wife has a modest little flat in Pittsburgh and PA is a swing state. Actually, the only state that matters this election is Ohio.

Edwards made gobs of money as a slick trial lawyer. Don't be too sure. We have too many stupid voters who will vote style over substance.

Amen to that.

Good news. Kerry and the democrats put too much stock in Edward's looks and not enough stock in experience. They went with a good looks idea. Not a good thing for Kerry - He is so totally inexperienced in foreign affairs and only has had one term in the Senate. Cheney will blow this guy away.

That's how they're playing it though, Edwards brings "youth and charisma" to the ticket.

How about "inexperience and vapidness"?

As much as I like Dick Cheney as a VP, he has been so demonized by the media that I believe a change (to McCain, Rice, or Guilani) may be needed, or Bush could lose this election.

Look back in history and give me a Republican candidate for President or VP who was not demonized by the media. Cheney is a winner despite the media attacks, and most Americans recognize it. Whoever it is, the media will go after them, so if you are trying to please the liberal media, you better switch parties.

It's more than a modest little flat. It is a 90 acre estate in snooty Fox Chapel.

I respectfully disagree Carl. Edwards has had only to convince a southern jury to win his cases. I'm not throwing down on southerners as I am one; however, I live two counties from the most notorious jury pool in the nation. Barbour County, Alabama historically awards the largest damages known to man. I understand that on one occasion, Edwards stated in court that the injured party (who was dead) had spoken to him.

Vice President Cheney is considerably more savvy than a typical jury. I believe he'd win any debate with Edwards hands down.

Watta coincidence, that's also the combined number of votes these two have missed in the senate....and that was just one session!

Gotta love Kerry's southern "strategy" -- Pick a young untested inexperienced Trial Lawyer who has higher negatives than positives in the very states he is supposedly going to help in.

Kerry just put NC firmly in Bush's hands, and Breck Girl will be of no help at all in SC, Tenn and Fla.

Yep good pick there John-boy. Keep up the good work!

I did not see any evidence to support that hypothesis. Kerry was not sinking. However, Bush had weathered the storm. The Dems had tried to create an aura of inevitability of a Kerry win, and that did not work.

Picking Edwards won't cinch up North Carolina or the south for that matter for Kerry. It'll be like Gore losing his home state of TN, and the Democrats are left to fudge around with the law.
