A combined effort between Freepers and Protest Warriors was a MAJOR success today in Richmond, Virginia!!
A.N.S.W.E.R. and local socialist sympathizers (IndyMedia) were taken by surprise by a joint operation called "Lightning Bolt". What was supposed to be a HUGE Anti- Bush, Anti-War, Anti-America, Anti-Everything rally, turned out to be nothing more than maybe 200 - 300 hundred of the "usual" suspects. In other words, the un-washed, and the un-employable !! There seemed to be more police than protestors, even though, as an inducement to swell the crowd of protestors, they advertised "Free Food". As the Freepers and Protest Warriors lined Belvidere and Franklin Streets with signs and flags, motorists started beeping their car horns and giving us the "thumbs-up". This did not please the socialists and anarchists. Nor did the fact that we received a large amount of media attention. Several Freepers and Protest Warriors were interviewed by 2 local television stations, and 2 local reporters for the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Not "one" American flag was seen in the march, BUT......a large "United Nations" flag was proudly hoisted in the middle of the marchers. This will come as no surprise to Freepers, but it is nonetheless disheartening to see people who would rather carry a U.N. flag in place of an American flag.
We were all thrilled at the reception of the local residents who supported our efforts, but the entire day was justified when a young man, who was out riding his bicycle, stopped to thank us for supporting the troops. He was a former Marine, and he just wanted us to know how much our support meant to him.
It was a good day......a VERY good day !!
What the hay! These commies have the same vacant look that their parents did in the 60s. Is it genetic?Their parents ate the brown acid.

Where did ya get that Reagan shirt?
Go, Richmond! You guys are terrific!
Flora McD put together a nice CD of foot-stompin' patriotic songs and was blasting it most of the day. Well, when the CD had ended fer a spell, and it got awful quiet, when this lady cop next to me says, "Hey, what happened to our music?!"
LOL...needless to say, we happily obliged by restarting the CD, and the party continued...MUD
Richmond's still got a rebel streak in her...LOL!!
FReegards...MUD
No contest, indeed...conservative chicks are always more attractive...MUD
When I crossed the street to take pictures of the protest rally, I was suprised to hear our music halfway into the park. It was great!
Afterwards, on one of the lefty websites they were discussing their sound problems and someone suggested that they needed bagpipes. Wonder where they got that idea...
BTW...Was that the lady police officer that all the guys on our corner were buzzin' about?
The times, they are a changin'....
You bet they are, and the left wing nuts are not happy campers about it!!
P.S.
where have all the hippies gone......
Thanks Firebrand!!
The left ain't seen nothin' yet!!
Do I hear a "Rebel Yell"??? HELL YES !!
YYYYEEEEAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH !!!
I agree!! Gottaluvakitas did a great job on TV, I'm sure!! She was the inspiration for the Protest Warrior "Belly Girl" :-)
Now a story about the 2 fat babes in your photo. The one with the bleached blonde hair was screaming at us as she walked down Belvidere Street back towards Monroe Park. She wasn't watching where she was going, and she crashed into a tree. I laughed so hard, I nearly peed in my pants. When she regained her composure, I told her to try the Atkins Diet, and maybe , next time, she coud make it down the street, without crashing into a tree.
Even our female police officer started to laugh when I said that...... hehehehe
Hey Mud:
It wouldn't be considered support if we "BURNED" the damn U.N. Flag!! Next time, I'm gonna do it!!
Who is that in the photo?? Bad Bobby Scott?? or Gwenn Hedgepeth ??
Good Grief!! Let's hope no one dropped the soap!! hehehe
Maybe a good visual would be someone waving the U.S. flag, while someone else alternately raises a U.N. flag, and then drops it and drags it around on the ground.
