We are WAY past due to "overreact".
If this was happening 60 years ago, entire cities would be flattened in response.
Sooner or later, we have to make the entire Islamic world mortally fear the US.

"This act of revenge is to heal the hearts of believers in Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq and the Arabian Peninsula," the statement said. It will also make the inevitable nuclear solution to the problem of radical islam just that much more palatable to millions of non-muslims around the globe. Nice going, sick freaks.

Thanks. According to my son, he got his few and far between licks in. After he left the hospital, he headed home and is resting in bed with some pain medication. I know he'll be allright but poor Paul Johnson won't be. I'm sssssooooo angry that I want to throw something.

And it calls for us to leave Saudi Arabia and learn the lesson they are teaching us, or there will be more to come. And therein lies the key to victory. The enemy doesn't understand us. Hitler thought that if he pounded London that we would be demoralised he would fold - now Al Qaeda thinks that gruesome acts of terrorism will intimidate Britain and America rather than make us more stubborn.
I can't speak for everyone, but Al Qaeda saying that makes something tighten in the gut, makes the teeth grit, the fists ball up, and the anger rise. No, you bastards, we are not going to leave. We are not going to stop until every one of you lies dead in revenge for these dreadful murders. You think you know ruthless - wait till you taste it from free peoples, roused to anger. Then after you're in Hell, you can share your shock with Adolf Hitler, who probably is still fussing and fuming about not having "gotten it" in between flogging sessions.
Regards, Ivan

The only thing that is going to wake up that part of our nation that has yet to 'get it' is another 9/11 type attack, this one probably complete with a mushroom cloud that rises over an American city. We are simply committing suicide in bits and pieces when don't respond to these people with what it takes to win. This is going just like Vietnam, we are being demoralized by the day and seem to be totally incapable of doing what it takes to turn it around. Maybe it's just my nature, but I want to go out fighting, not listening to the Kennedy's, Kerry's, etc. tell us how wrong we are in how we KNOW situations like this must be handled. The model for ending a war should be WWII, not Vietnam. I can't help but feel we are moving toward a slow motion defeat, not militarily but politically, and it's like one of those nightmares where you know what's happening but are powerless to change it. I feel in the end we will look back on Fallujah as the turning point in the war on terror. It was there that we blinked, and it's going to take ten times as much to undo the damage that was done by that blink. They also promised us that fat little bastard Al-Sadr would pay too, but now we're being told he will be free to pursue his goals in a post-American Iraq via political means. If we're going to lose in the end, and we sure seem unable to bring ourselves to win, then I want it over as quickly as possible. That's the only way to save lives in the long run. Someone once told me when you're in a hole and getting deeper every day the first thing you have to do is quit digging! We need to bring in a backhoe and do the hole right or get out of it and go home.

I can separate just fine. But if the US is going to rely on a so-called ally to fix the problem...then another approach is necessary.
This is what are dealing with....a snippet from the article up on drudgereport.com right now....
"A senior Saudi official in Washington, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the government did not yet have any independent confirmation of Johnson's death. "There is no body, and we know of no videotape," said the official."

When the words "Civis Americanus sum" makes you someone to be given special attention rather than a target in that region of the world, then we'll have made progress.
Until we start issuing reminders of why that should be the case, all of us are targets. Carrot, stick, doesn't matter. Although I do have a preference.

Yea, I was shocked to go to Drudge and see a picture of his head with a Knife leaning against it. Good for Drudge! This should be (but won't) plastered all over the news.

Fox just commented that the suspect in the Johnson killing fought in Bosnia.
Stupid question? But, my rancor is up: What side did this Al Quaida scum serve on? Was Clinton wrong to bomb the Serbs? Didn't Milosovic do onto them before they did onto him???
