I do agree Patty seems like a hippy who can not grow up and Ron seems bitter and can not close his eyes during prayer. Micheal is a christian and lets them in front. He is a gracious Reagan much like Nancy and his dad.

I am sick of the Adopted part the media keeps saying.

I can't get a sense of how many people are lining the route but the rain is coming down pretty hard now. I can see it in the air as it falls. The view that just past by shows a crowd 6 or 7 deep behind some barriers.

I'm impressed with Fox's coverage that they have kept their mouths shut the entire time. Very moving without the talking heads.

I just told someone the same thing -- Fox's coverage is excellent today and I got really mad at them earlier.

Michael will be carrying on his Fathers voice. His future role is very great.

I'm going to add wuickly that the Casualty Assistance Officers are wonderful. I have a great one who has assisted me. He has done some of the tasks that I couldn't bear to do.

Cool and drizzly in Phila too. A nice respite from the heat of recent days.

She looks remarkably well, and strong, for her age..I worried about her walking up the steps to the plane...she has to do it one more time..

Washington-AP -- The officer at Nancy Reagan's side this week is Army Major General Galen Jackman.

As commander of the U-S Military District of Washington, Jackman's duties include overseeing ceremonies in the nation's capital with high-ranking personnel and visiting heads of state.

He has offered his arm to Mrs. Reagan all week, accompanying her from California to the U-S Capitol Rotunda.

Well, after showing the Ford/Clinton interaction (and ABC then showed Margaret Thatcher taking her seat next to Gorbachev), Matthews gave an interesting tidbit:

First he wondered if we'd see Clinton and Gore speak at all. Then he informed viewers that he and Lester Holt saw on another feed they had not aired John Kerry and Bill Clinton speaking in each others' ears. Matthews said it very much had the air of "backroom dealings".

Hmmmmmmmmm

I'll guess advice from Clinton of how Kerry should comport and maneuver himself about the place for maximum "advantage" as they would perceive it.

They are saying that they will not be able to follow this procession in the same way they followed the trip in. It's a long distance to the Washington Cathedral. Brit says it's more misting and not a heavy down pour.
