I was struck by the stark black platform...how it looked from up above. It's the way everyone feels, as if we've lost a vital part of this country.

Today Andrea Mitchell... had to add that in "reality" (ahem) the elder Bushes were not close to the Reagans. She asserted that Barbara had resented Nancy and then Andrea said the Reagans had never hosted the Bushes in the private family WH quarters.

Both First Families became closer after both had left public life. So what. Politically, they were an excellent team.

The business about never seeing each other socially on a private basis is an absolute lie. The Bushes were hosts to the Reagans in Houston after the 1980 Convention; the Reagans hosted the Bushes privately at the White House after the Inauguration; the Bushes reciprocated at the Vice President's home; the Reagans hosted the Bushes privately at their Ranch in California, etc.

More lies from liars.... Andrea Mitchell and the MSM.

Warner Bros. is very different than when RR worked there.

Unfortunately, you are right - and that applies to Hollywood as a whole, as far as the A list is concerned. But the grips and gaffers, guards and drivers, etc. are a different breed, by and large.

I am trying to get a groundswell going to name one of the sound stages on the lot after Ronald Reagan. Already encountering political opposition, naturally. But I intend to keep at it.

I love that banner. I first saw it when Freeper joanie_f posted her picture of it (which was a lot better picture of it than the embassy website has). I wasn't sure how long joanie_f's pictures would be available though.

saying that Reagan would have never gotten us involved with Iraq. Matthews actually suggested that Reagan may have negotiated with Saddam instead of going to war!

In addition to Greneda, there was also the bombing of Ghadaffi and Libya. Surely Reagan would have rolled back Saddam from Kuwait. I bet he said so since he supported Bush I at the time.

Andrea Mitchell has been a classless disgrace all week.

Bears frequent repeating. Hard to think of a bigger example of the sour Old Media.

That website only tracks commercial air traffic; it won't track Air Force One.

Correction, that SAM28000. If one had a Unilink account with access to that level of security, one could track it. My Unilink account won't show it.

Charlton Heston, Kirk Douglas, Tommy LaSorda, Bo Derek and Norman Lear were the names I remember Brit mentioning will be at the Simi Valley burial ceremony.

I had the same sense of sadness and joy as the plane vanished.

It was an incredible sight.

Slimy people, that's all I can say. I mean, smiles at a funeral are OK, but that's as happy as I've ever seen him .. . slime.

"Could these people give it a rest already?"

You've seen all the restraint you're going to see from the media. Expect them to "vent" this weekend on the talk shows.

Maybe JF'nKerry can add Mulrooney to his list of foreign leaders cheerleading his election to the presidency. Not.

That is what they're predicting. That makes me happy. Someone pointed out that for him the burial is his sunset but in his words, for America there would always be a new dawn.

Dan Rather feels a lot of guilt, but not enough. That is where his tears come from. We cry because we loved him,and never wanted to let him go.

Norman Lear? Why?
The others are Republican,
except for Kirk Douglas,
but I reckon he knew RWR
from the old days.
