Cspan has a pro Reagan caller on now John Barletta, SS agent for Reagan. Showing great footage of Reagan getting ready to ride and riding with Nancy.

What an incredible life this man lived. Always smiling.

This year my planters and flower beds are Red White and Purple petunias ( they almost look blue) There are American pinwheels around the flowers and American flags.

I am sure the meaning is not lost with the purple petunia, its close enough : )

BTW they are growing huge and almost covering portians of my grass. I will have to get some pictures of them.

Does anyone know if Vicente Fox has visited? I haven't seen any coverage or heard his name mentioned, and I think it's certainly tasteless if he hasn't visited. The elderly, frail, Margaret Thatcher can suck it up make a trans-Atlantic flight to pay her respects but Vicente Fox can't cross the Rio Grande to pay his respects? Millions and millions of his citizens cross the Rio Grande every day to suck up our tax dollars. If he doesn't know the way across, they can show him....

Yesterday, I was watching Kings Row on TCM... there comes a scene when Reagan's character realizes that his legs have been amputated. He turns his face to the wall, covers them with his hand and begins to cry... I lost control... I cried so hard... My President is gone...

I love GWB so much... but Ronnie is special...

I don't know how I will make it through the funeral...

God bless this dear man...

Freepmail me when you get your pictures... I would like to see them...

Ever since I've been small, my favorite colors have been red, white, and blue...

World leaders expressed their condolences this week to the Reagan family. Mexican President Vicente Fox Quesada, in a letter addressed to Nancy Reagan, said of President Reagan:

"Many times he visited our country in different capacities, and always demonstrated a great interest in Mexico, and for the relationship between our nations," Fox wrote.

This is all I could find.

I did those colors of petunias too and the flags. Also have red geraniums and white and blue lobelia.

Well, I still think it's tasteless that he's President of a North American nation and can't be here IN PERSON.

Carton is correct. Roses lack an enzyme to produce a true blue rose. Closest color is lavendar. Your photo is doctored.

A recent pharmaceutical research accident yielded hope that a blue rose will soon be possible.

Vincente Fox isn't coming. O'Reilly made a big stink about it. He is sending his wife to the funeral instead.

I don't have as much of a problem with these pompous foreign leaders not coming as most FReepers. If they don't want to come, I don't want to see their lying faces. Most of them are hypocrites, anyway.

Sometimes, I think that has to do with protocol. Poor excuse I know... but if it was the current President's funeral, I think Fox would have been here.

In the USA, unless it is a special occassion, (Rabin's death in Israel being one) the VP usually goes to the funeral. At Rabin's funeral, Clinton was there (sucking up all the oxygen as usual).

The other thing is that, in nature, THERE IS NO BLUE FOOD. And, blue-berries don't count, as they are purple. Isn't that something?

Some news reports yesterday said Vincente was sending his wife. [So much for his friendship and support.]

Its amazing that the Democrats can blam any bad thing on ANY Republican. If needed they could blame the Janitor of DNC headquarters for a rainy day.

Strawberries, blueberries, and a big glob of whipped cream look mighty fine to me on Independence Day!
