We picked up an extra VCR last night and are taping MSNBC and C-SPAN - we'll be looking to trade extra copies for other coverage later.

"the "Reagan was a bi-partisan statesman, Bush is evil" line was on full display this morning on Fox."

The same is true for MSNBC where I had to endure Joe Biden telling us that the Reagan tax cuts didn't do anything for the working man, that he didn't really end the cold war, but that, at least he was without malice, so unlike what was done to McCain in South Carolina. Taking deep breaths, bringing blood pressure down.

WABC radio NYC (770AM) is covering the ceremonies this morning. Rush Limbaugh is going to narrate.

Rich Galen's laughing AT the dem woman was the most effective response to her. Now, if I can get my lips and lungs trained to do so, I intend to meet libs' outrageous spinning w/the same response.

BTW In reading of the dignitaries attending the National Cathedral ceremony, I noted Carter's name (no doubt because he's a former president). This is the first time I've even seen him mentioned by name. Has anyone heard or seen him in the Rotunda?

I remember a time when only conservatives got through on CSPAN, so then they started screening calls based on ideology to try and have a "balance"... but liberals lie and say they are Republicans...

Anyone know how they're keeping Hillary away from the cameras in this? Cattle prods? Tranquilizers? Or did they finally send her through shock therapy? Whichever Dem handler is keeping her subdued deserves a medal.

I don't know about anyone else .. but I have not seen her at all .. which is surprising because she normally is a camera hog

Come to think of it .. I haven't heard about Bill going to DC for the viewing at the Capital either

Work? Today is a day of national mourning...

Governor McGreedy did not make it a state day of mourning. He only recently ordered state flags to fly at half mast in memory of President Reagan.

"They are so naive and ignorant of the truth.."

I've stopped discussing politics with those on the left. I have good, decent friends and family members who just don't "get it". It boggles my mind. I've come to believe that we all view the world through a prism. Our individual prisms are shaped based on our frames of reference. Sometimes it may be an event that shapes our prism, or maybe it is whether one is an optimist or pessimist. I'm an optimist. I WANT to see good in people and I WANT to believe that the future will be bright. My father, on the other hand, worked for a company for many years which cheated its employees out of their retirement benefits when it folded. Then he became blind. He sees everything through his prism of pessimism and distrust. I don't know if this is making sense, but this analysis has helped me to try to understand the left a bit. They still make me crazy, however. Peace Be With You PigRigger.

Check out what mystery-ak wrote in reply #69. C-SPAM is a garbage dump.

I love shooting wolves. Great sport.

Ignorance is a product of the modern public education system. It's set up to produce graduates with no fact bases and raw emotions. Much easier to make automatons out of people if you educate them this way. We have got to fix this problem and get education out of the hands of the teachers unions.

It's a great day. A new dawning in America. RR would have wanted it that way.

Believe me, I know where you're coming from. Luckily, my office isn't quite as liberal as yours, although we do have our fair share of misinformed liberals. Certainly more than half. I usually try to ignore them on political matters. You're not going to change their minds. But we have enough of a critical mass of conservatives if that I end up in a debate, somebody will likely have my back. That's not the norm here.

The NYC liberals really do take the Slimes as if it were Gospel. In reality, the Old Grey Whore is really just America's Pravda. That's okay --- we have freedom of the press and they can print what they want. I just wish the Slimes wouldn't claim it objectively reports the news. It does not. The Slimes prints all the news that fits their agenda.
