Shrinkin' government's that fer which I pray.
Protect the World from Left's slime...
Please Dubyuh, join the fray!!

Willin' to help thru taxes that we pay.
Seems like by now...
Right'd find a Prez who cares...fer Liberty!!

Then we'd go running on faith
All of Right's dreams shall come true!!
All the world will be Right...
When Dubyuh loathes Big Guv'ment, too!!

(Sweet guitar pickin' by the BigMan)

Right's always been...
One to fight fer that fer which we pray!!
Seems like by now...
We'd find a Prez who cares...fer Liberty!!

Won't believe Pubbies on faith...
All of Right's dreams shall come true!!
Lead the world 'cuz we're Right...
George Dubyuh, you can join US, too!!
Yes, you can...
And Rush shall support you...
Then Sean shall support you...
And MUD shall support you...
All of Right's dreams shall come true...
The Right shall support you...

I've made my case. Go back and re-read my posts, as well as those from the other people who have seen fit to expend their time trying to point out the error of your ways. It's apparent that Kerry himself could stand in front of you and confirm my claims, and you still wouldn't believe it.

I have paying work to do. Maybe you do as well. I'm not going to waste any more time with you.

Hey......if you're well enough to go to a concert, you're well enough to go to the next RTM, right?? :-)

Besides, who the hell is Lynard Skinner??

Hi Sam! Welcome to the Black Threads. I have been out of pocket with a slight relapse from a medical problem, so am just now getting caught up on the recent posts.

Tell me, are you really from South Carolina? My cousin Bobby, who is homosexual and lives in South Carolina, is the only other person from your state who admits that he will vote for John Kerry. He is so far out in left field, that I don't waste my breath talking politics with him.

He is the one that claimed the "daily atrocities" it is his responsibility to back it up with solid proof - if he can't or wn't, he's a liar. 30 years later and I have seen no evidence presented by him other than his say so.

This isn't "I'm rubber and you're glue." Kerry doesn't have to prove anything -- he tells what he sees, and eyewitnesses confirm his story. He's not trying to use the fact that he or anyone else committed atrocities or war crimes for personal gain, or to persecute somebody. He's letting it go. However, if you're going to say that what he says is not true, and Kerry didn't really see or do those things, in order to discredit him and bolster your political view, then you have an obligation to back that up.

Or, you could just let it go and turn your attention to things that really matter, like the hundreds of soldiers dying in Iraq right now, because of falsified evidence and half-truths.

I'm not going to waste any more time with you.

I love those "I'm not talking to you anymore" posts -- I guess people think that if they get the last word on a thread, that somehow it makes them right.

If not Joe, is there anyone on here that can back up a shred of what they say about Kerry? Anyone?

Tell me boy, how is it you -- & you alone -- seem to attract every Liberal-Socialist goofball sliming around on the www, huh?

More importantly, does The Old Man know you're entertaining the asshole in question on his website?
Yeaaa...

Sometimes I think you're pulling a fast one, given the curious coincidence of these kinds of shameless, imbecilic, brainless dirtballs showing up & always seeming find their way to you & Black, y'know?
My nose.
It's twitchin', sonny.

Be that as it may, just wanted to let you know today I recieved two CDs via UPS, both from Ice Age.

First one's called, "Something Wicked This Way Comes" & I bagged it based on another poster's recommendation; and, to see what these Ice Age guys were up to before, "The Glorious Burden" CD. (~the one causing all the commotion)

Gotta say right now, "Glorious Burden" looks mighty damned interesting even before I have a chance to peel off the celophane & throw it on The Monster & give it a listen.

Really.
In this day & age of hyper-banal CD cover art accompaning the banal music produced these days, this one's exceptional.

It's apparently a reproduction of an old Civil War painting, would you believe?
Complete with flag bearers holding both the Stars & Bars *&* the Stars & Stripes no less engaged in mortal combat, very un-PC.
Could be a representation of Pickett's Charge for all I know, it looks bloody enough; but, it's also strangely beautiful at the same time, too.
A "Must See" (at Amazon?) Mud, trust me.

Facinating song titles also, can't wait to hear it.

...really hoping the lyrics are included with this one.

"I love those "I'm not talking to you anymore" posts"

Not as much as I love wiseacres who keep asking the same question after it's been answered.

Reminds me of my two-year-old daughter when she responds "Why?" to every answer she's given.

See you at the polls, troll.

Ah, I guess he does have to have the last word after all!

Not as much as I love wiseacres who keep asking the same question after it's been answered.

It hasn't been answered. That's the problem. Nobody can give me one piece of evidence to show that Kerry has lied about anything. Not one. And you're either incapable or unwilling to give this evidence, yet you're perfectly able to keep blabbing about how Kerry is a liar.

Reminds me of my two-year-old daughter when she responds "Why?" to every answer she's given.

Well, I just hope you don't ignore the poor girl's questions like you've ignored mine.

Are you really done talking to me now? Or do you have more platitudes you'd like someone else to prove for you?

Thanks, but I'm not from South Carolina. I'm from Smirking Chimp, a liberal web site. And I'm not gay either. =P

If you can't stand talking politics with Bobby, then you probably won't be able to stand talking to me either. Just a warning. =)

"Stars & Bars"

You likely meant the Confederate battle flag and not the Stars and Bars. There is a difference.

Re: this Sam character. Mud does attract the oddballs, doesn't he. I think he likes to toy with them like a cat does with a mouse. Sam is probably as harmless as MurryMom but he is good at repartee. Might be amusing to have him around.

I was talking to my sister-in-law from PA about the election. (She is totally uninformed, but could always be counted on to vote my way.) She informed me that she would never vote for Bush, because she heard on the TV news the other day that Bush had messed up the economy and was responsible for us losing the Iraq War. DUH?? Knowing reason would fail, I simply said, "Well, I can't support anyone that favors gay marriages." She replied that she was appalled at gay people getting married. Told her Kerry supported it; she's now back in the Bush column. And of course I agree - these types like my SIL should have NEVER been given access to a voting ballot.

Yo Mud, do I assume this line was for my benefit, or both of ours?

Landru, I think I got the "10 miles out & stranded" thing resolved. We'll have another shakedown run this weekend, weather permitting . . .

FREE fishing this weekend in Wisconsin; no license required. I've got room for two more . . .

"Yo Mud, do I assume this line was for my benefit, or both of ours?"

BWWWAHAAAA!!

Ummmm, your part was the Ice Age stuff, Einstein. (~a tad handshy with ol' Landru, huh? :o) )

"Landru, I think I got the '10 miles out & stranded' thing resolved."

You "think," huh.

Here I've been patiently waiting -- every day -- for that email describing your -- apparent -- ordeal as promised.
All for naught too 'cuz it never did arrive.
I've a new name for "Braveman" you might like to consider that'd be more fittin' of the good ship & her Captain: "Deadbeat"

"We'll have another shakedown run this weekend, weather permitting..."

Yea well lemme know how it goes when -- & if -- ya ever get back, will ya?

Y'know I've this notion -- not a "big" notion, mind ya -- it's getting harder & harder for you to find people to accompany you on what sounds like one-way trips errrrr, "shakedown runs."
(~would bet even your usually enthusiastic boy's getting wise, too. {g})

"FREE fishing this weekend in Wisconsin; no license required. I've got room for two more..."

There's nothing "free" in Wisconsin except the mosquitoes & lousy weather, my old friend.
Seems you think just because I'm living on the Mason-Dixon these days I got me a case of the stupids, eh?
Well there's nothing wrong with my -- albeit aging -- memory of the place you're living.

Even so, I'd have loved to accompany you on the "shakedown", if for no other reason out of deference to our many years friendship. ;^)

Ummmmmm, have you tried asking Mikey L?

...Mikey will try anything. :o)

Eight Traits of the Disinformationalist

1) Avoidance. They never actually discuss issues head-on or provide constructive input, generally avoiding citation of references or credentials. Rather, they merely imply this, that, and the other. Virtually everything about their presentation implies their authority and expert knowledge in the matter without any further justification for credibility.

2) Selectivity. They tend to pick and choose opponents carefully, either applying the hit-and-run approach against mere commentators supportive of opponents, or focusing heavier attacks on key opponents who are known to directly address issues. Should a commentator become argumentative with any success, the focus will shift to include the commentator as well.

3) Coincidental. They tend to surface suddenly and somewhat coincidentally with a new controversial topic with no clear prior record of participation in general discussions in the particular public arena involved. They likewise tend to vanish once the topic is no longer of general concern. They were likely directed or elected to be there for a reason, and vanish with the reason.

4) Teamwork. They tend to operate in self-congratulatory and complementary packs or teams. Of course, this can happen naturally in any public forum, but there will likely be an ongoing pattern of frequent exchanges of this sort where professionals are involved. Sometimes one of the players will infiltrate the opponent camp to become a source for straw man or other tactics designed to dilute opponent presentation strength.

5) Anti-conspiratorial. They almost always have disdain for 'conspiracy theorists' and, usually, for those who in any way believe JFK was not killed by LHO. Ask yourself why, if they hold such disdain for conspiracy theorists, do they focus on defending a single topic discussed in a NG focusing on conspiracies? One might think they would either be trying to make fools of everyone on every topic, or simply ignore the group they hold in such disdain. Or, one might more rightly conclude they have an ulterior motive for their actions in going out of their way to focus as they do.

6) Artificial Emotions. An odd kind of 'artificial' emotionalism and an unusually thick skin -- an ability to persevere and persist even in the face of overwhelming criticism and unacceptance. This likely stems from intelligence community training that, no matter how condemning the evidence, deny everything, and never become emotionally involved or reactive. The net result for a disinfo artist is that emotions can seem artificial. Most people, if responding in anger, for instance, will express their animosity throughout their rebuttal. But disinfo types usually have trouble maintaining the 'image' and are hot and cold with respect to pretended emotions and their usually more calm or unemotional communications style. It's just a job, and they often seem unable to 'act their role in character' as well in a communications medium as they might be able in a real face-to-face conversation/confrontation. You might have outright rage and indignation one moment, ho-hum the next, and more anger later -- an emotional yo-yo. With respect to being thick-skinned, no amount of criticism will deter them from doing their job, and they will generally continue their old disinfo patterns without any adjustments to criticisms of how obvious it is that they play that game -- where a more rational individual who truly cares what others think might seek to improve their communications style, substance, and so forth, or simply give up.

7) Inconsistent. There is also a tendency to make mistakes which betray their true self/motives. This may stem from not really knowing their topic, or it may be somewhat 'freudian', so to speak, in that perhaps they really root for the side of truth deep within. I have noted that often, they will simply cite contradictory information which neutralizes itself and the author. For instance, one such player claimed to be a Navy pilot, but blamed his poor communicating skills (spelling, grammar, incoherent style) on having only a grade-school education. I'm not aware of too many Navy pilots who don't have a college degree. Another claimed no knowledge of a particular topic/situation but later claimed first-hand knowledge of it.

8) BONUS TRAIT: Time Constant. Recently discovered, with respect to News Groups, is the response time factor. There are three ways this can be seen to work, especially when the government or other empowered player is involved in a cover up operation: 1) ANY NG posting by a targeted proponent for truth can result in an IMMEDIATE response. The government and other empowered players can afford to pay people to sit there and watch for an opportunity to do some damage. SINCE DISINFO IN A NG ONLY WORKS IF THE READER SEES IT - FAST RESPONSE IS CALLED FOR, or the visitor may be swayed towards truth. 2) When dealing in more direct ways with a disinformationalist, such as email, DELAY IS CALLED FOR - there will usually be a minimum of a 48-72 hour delay. This allows a sit-down team discussion on response strategy for best effect, and even enough time to 'get permission' or instruction from a formal chain of command. 3) In the NG example 1) above, it will often ALSO be seen that bigger guns are drawn and fired after the same 48-72 hours delay - the team approach in play. This is especially true when the targeted truth seeker or their comments are considered more important with respect to potential to reveal truth. Thus, a serious truth sayer will be attacked twice for the same sin.

You're busted, troll.

Dammit George! What're you talking about?

I was at the last two RTMs. As a matter of fact I was at the opposite corner at the same table as you. I was sitting between two lovelies (Iceskater and GottaLuvAkitas1). I sure remember.

Oh by the way I missed the concert due to a traffic accident (no one hurt).

Oh, I'm "a big harmless fuzzball," just like Rush. I won't take your credit card numbers and I won't eat your children. Mud just drafted me to come over and defend Kerry, and I thought it would be fun to debunk some of this smear going around about him -- these "weapons of mass distraction" by the GOP, as my friends like to call them.

You seem like a nice enough guy/girl, so I'm curious -- why are you against gay people getting married? If you don't want to get into it, that's fine -- there'll probably be a handful of others here who'll answer that question for you. =)
