I have been hoping for one of your picture essays. Just great. BTW, your descriptive adjectives for Najaf are exactly what I have been thinking. Ya nailed it.
It's great to see this! I love the pictures, but more than that your captions are right on.

It seems to me that we are in error for not sending the MLRS units over to Iraq. One load of FASCAM from a MLRS would take care of these pieces of Shiite quite nicely. (More satisfying to bayonnet them all however.)

What is the deal with wrapping RPG rounds in electrical tape?
... the runt pretender Muqtada al-Sadr ...Good one : )
We are winning ~ the bad guys are losing ~ trolls, terrorists, democrats and the mainstream media are sad ~ very sad!
How the hell do you GET these shots? Never mind I probably don't want to know.
Thanks, as always for your ping. These are great.
And for some who may not have seen this earlier thread (also a note from you RG), some more great photos!

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard B. Myers looks over some briefings while Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld does the same aboard a Texas Air National Guard C-130E headed for Baghdad, Iraq, on May 13, 2004. Rumsfeld and Myers are traveling to Southwest Asia to visit the troops in Baghdad. Thanks for posting these Diogenesis. Our troops are working so hard and our media ignores them unless they can slander them. We need these pictures in order to remember to stay the course.
Coolbeans.
When Al-Sadr takes his long put off dirt nap it will be an extremely good day.
By all means, carry on!

Is this photo recent? It looks an awful lot like a similar photo taken a few weeks ago. I notice because FN-FAL paratrooper rifles like the one he is holding up are not real common in Iraq.
Kill an Islammie for mommie?
