FORT LEWIS -- Army Spc. Ryan Anderson talked with his lawyer and wrote on a notepad yesterday, but didn't look up at the screen showing an undercover video of his meeting near the Space Needle in February with two federal investigators posing as al-Qaida terrorist recruiters.
In the 58-minute recording made inside a vehicle, with about a minute censored for security reasons, Anderson, 26, of Lynnwood is shown volunteering ideas on how to defeat U.S. military vehicles and kill soldiers, sharing military documents, making plans to desert and join al-Qaida, and his reasons for it all.
"While I love my homeland, I believe the leaders have taken this horrible road. I have no belief in what the American Army has asked me to do. They have taken me from my family and sent me to die," Anderson said on the video, which was shown in a courtroom at this Army base yesterday.
"I joined the National Guard because they said I won't go over and fight -- I will fight at home," he said.
But Anderson, a convert to Islam, said he would not fight overseas against "brother" Muslims. "I am very upset about that," he said. "I love my country, but I fear my government."

"He's posted plenty of lies about, well, everything."
Can you show me where I lied about one thing?
If so, please post it so I can show where my info comes from to back up my argument. If you don't then I will take your accusation as baseless and has no validity.
If you can prove that I have posted bad info I will humbly apologize but if not than I will look at your accusation like the world looks at Bush for accusing Iraq of having WMDs and we haven't found a can of mace yet...

In fact my boss is a big lefty. I am well aware of the left wingers. I am in California too. In my agency, however, the vast majority are conservatives, though there are a few lefties here and there. I do not have much to do with them, however.

"The US needs to check herself and start building character in the people instead of them being moral misfits "
That is the Holy Spirit's job, not that of the "US". People have to come willingly to be changed and that is very hard to compete with in the MTV/Sex/XTC generation.
And It won't happen at all if Islam gets its chance at conditioning the population of this country to pray to a false God five times a day with their butts in the air.
To: Truth Barer
Are you suggesting that the government take responsibility for morality? Whatever happened to parental controls? And I think W is sending a message about morality and, following the Clinton debacle, it's been a difficult time for liberals. They appear to have responded by exercising their ability to flip-flop according to an agenda which twists and turns snake-like.

"Before it's all said and done with regard to the ideological split that is tearing at this country and the turmoil and disruption that may result of it, your idea might just happen."
You are partly right in your observation but it will go much deeper than vigilante activity. The US will never be taken down by any outside power, it has been saved for a special reason. It will go into another civil war and that will cause the US to be totally changed from the way we know it today. The old thinking of the world will soon be nothing but a memory and Bush has been able to do something that no radical Muslim has ever been able to do successfully and that is call Jihad on the US and the west.
The American government has been hijacked by a few elitist and it must be taken back by the people...

videos showing gross torture by the hands of US soldiers. Their treatment was not good, but I hardly think of it as gross torture. The people in the WTC, on 9/11, who were above the area where the aircraft went in, who were simply waiting for the WTC to fall, now that was gross torture.

"The truth about Islam just keeps piling up. Every Muslim in the military is a security risk. It's long past time we relinquished the luxury of naively believing otherwise. We are not at war with 'a few fanatics who've hijacked a peaceful religion,' Islam is a bloody cult that has aimed from its founding by the murderer Mohammed to bring the world into submission to Sharia law."
Saber, once again you hit the nail on the head. America would ignore your observation at its peril.

"I think that since there are more European Americans trying to force their thinking and lifestyles on the muslims in America..."
Nope. Sorry, not a cultural phenomenon in reality, though CAIR would have you think so. Strike One.
"...Americans speaking so bad about Islam and the Muslims..." The Koran specifically states Convert and/or kill Infidels. If anything, "moderate" muslims would be considered backsliders. Foul Ball.
"I don't think any Christian would like the same type of harassment and prejudice just because Timothy Mcveigh blew up 100s of people in Oklahoma under the name of Christianity..." Oops, McVeigh didn't do that, though. That's called a 'strawman argument' (say it with me, STRAW-MAN) and is, once again, not reality. Whiff, Strike Two.
"...Klan say they are true Christians..."
And, if you saw a "Christian" on the street wearing a burkha, uh, hood, that would be one thing. It's fairly well untested that Christians don't wear hoods. Foul Ball again.
"I have NEVER seen anywhere in the Bible where Jesus(PBUH)told us to solve any of our problems with war and murder."
True enough, but there was that little time when the moneychangers set up ops in the temple. He was pretty PO'ed, and ended up busting up their tables and running them out of the church. I'd say we had a general example from Him on how to react to invaders. Another Foul.
"in its true form is not a fanatic religion and is a religion of Peace..." Stike Out! ROP comments are complete crap.
Buh-bye, Clymer!

His father was a war protester. Berg actually supported the war effort (at least, that's what I read). A side note: My niece went to school with Nick Berg, and they were in the same Henderson High School class, and graduated together. Small world.

Uh, Jesus is God and sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. I don't think he needs your wishes for peace upon him.

No Jesus never said anything about fighting war on his behalf. But he certainly did not tell his followers to go out and murder anyone that didn;'t believe in HIM. Your buddy Mohammed is the seed of the Devil. He is a vile and murderous adulterer. Christ preached freedom from the slaver of Sin, your buddy Mohammed preaches the enslavement and murder of women and "infedels". You will not win, face it, GOD will have his rath on you and your ilk. You blasphemeGod with the 72 virgin (angel) swill. AS IF God would allow his pure angels to be raped by bloody handed murderers.
