Good for him! Any Iraqi who is carrying a weapon should be shot without warning. At least that way, they will not have to suffer any humiliation in an American run prison.

Why even take prisoners in the first place if this is the grief you're going to get? By taking the photos and apparently enjoying the humiliation of their prisoners, these people proved that they are not acting according to "war is hell." Shot prisoners would have been somewhat understandable; they could have been shot for trying to escape or putting up a fight. Treatment of enemy prisoners should be dispassionate.

Levin using the phrase depraved obviously has not seen MTV, rock concerts or the cable networks. He also does not listen to Howard Stern or many other radio programs and I guess he missed old Oprah's sexual teach-in for teens.
Poor guys, guess we should send him a few video clips and watch him get catatonic.
To: ken5050
I trust he'll "apologize" to them before dispatching them to Virginland.. If there was any apology, it would be that he wasted more than one round on him.
To: sarasota
"compensationI was totally shocked by that word also. Damned, let's just pay them all and get it over with.

That is just what happened in Vietnam.

Any idea what this entails?

Between this and the crap over Gitmo, it seems fairly clear to me that the solution is to raise the black flag and offer no quarter to our enemies.

Myers asked CBS NOT to show these pics and they still went ahead and did it. That really needs to be repeated with a loud volume.

Levin is climbing out on his limb, already...

Attention needs to be drawn from 911 Commission and UN Oil/Food Scandal. Isn't it strange that both US and UK photos appeared at the same time?Exactly!

Peach, thanks for the link. Just sent a short, warm note to President Bush about Secretary Rumsfeld, how proud we are of them today, and that we pray for them.
They bear our burdens.

Typical of the Dems - during time of war - to try to further undermine our war effort by trying to sack the Secretary of Defense just to gain a political advantage.

Levin: Naked prisoners in lump on floor, soldiers apparently unconcerned. Concerned that conduct was partof organized and conscious process to extract info. Taguba report: witness to prisoners made to do thinks he would question morally; quoted mil int as "loosen the guy up for us" " make sure he gets the treatment."
Taguba report: Mil int interrogators actively requested the MP guards set phys and ment conditions for interrogation of witnesses; assignees directed to change facility procedures to specs of mil int.
What were the changes? Was it proper?

"If one single penny of my tax money goes to any of those Iraqis"I don't mind if we kill them as combatants or medicate them to obtain INTEL, but it is inexcusable to rape them. There should be apologies and they should be compensated.

And, you know, it does not bother me one stinking bit. Not one stinking bit. Make a parking lot out of that place for all I care.
