When you think about it, it totally makes sense : Air America the liberal radio network, will not be broadcasting in the DC metro area.. DC went 70 percent for Gore! They don't need convincing.

We suspect that Air America will blow. Then again, it could suck.

Or perhaps it will achieve some mysterious simultaneous combination of the two. And while we are normally unopposed to mocking things that we have no direct knowledge of, this material seems rich.

For those of you who reside in one of the five areas covered by the Air America 'empire,' please send along your thoughts and comments.

I've got XM in my truck. There are currently only about a million total subscribers worldwide at this time, so I don't think its about "competing with himself". The numbers involved don't seem to support the theory.

That was using prepared, time tested stand by material. He can't handle instant stuff with any ability.

You have to have a special talent to do that.
That talent is scarce on the left IMO!

Can he take a long time to come up with potential funny writings? Sure, but he is not a talented improvisational person. For radio, that is the kiss of death.

Actually, Limbaugh never said that "dead doper" thing. In 1995, a caller made that remark during Limbaugh's radio program. Entertainment Weekly attributed it to Limbaugh himself but later issued a correction.

If not, the FCC may be unhappy. Broadcast is not cable.

Yes, the web stream is the actual broadcast of the over the radio broadcast. It was probably bleeped at the head end (Air America).

Are you listening to their stream or a radio station's stream? Even still, they should be bleeping their own content if they aren't. As I understand the FCC's ruling, they're responsible for what gets sent over their feed, not the radio station's that carry them. The question is, is Air America employing an 8 second delay like most syndicated talk shows employ, so that radio stations who are carrying the network can have time to dump out of the show to prevent obscenities from going out over their airwaves.

I will not ever listen - they spew nothing but garbage - it's hard enough just to deal with some of the pukes they put on Fox.
