First of all, wearing a KFC bucket on your noggin might be novel, but it isn't exactly a gimmick most fans are going to get into. Second, if anyone has shown bizzare and erratic behavior for the last ten years, it's Axl. Guns N' Roses without Slash is like Van Halen without David Lee Roth - it might sound familiar, but it just ain't the real deal.

"The band has been put in an untenable position by guitarist Buckethead and his untimely departure . . . During his tenure with the band Buckethead has been inconsistent and erratic in both his behavior and commitment . . . We as a whole definitely feel that we afforded Bucket every accommodation . . ."

If he said all these things with a straight face, I think he deserves an award of some kind. I would have burst out laughing as soon as I tried to utter the first "Bucket."

I did not know that GNR was still around. I certainly didn't know that there was a guy called "Buckethead" in the band. After I stopped laughing at that picture (30 mins) I had to go check out if it was for real. I can't stop laughing.

you know what's so annoying about bands like GnR and VH? They could make a mint by reforming with their old lineups and touring that way, as other bands have done. They still, however, cling to decade-old feuds and petty ego trips.

GET OVER IT, GUYS! You're all in your 40's-50's, not 20 anymore, and you're all millionaires. Whether somebody stole a groupie from somebody else 20 years ago is a kid's fight.

Eddie, quit worrying abour Roth's showmanship and ego...people went to see him as much as you. Just play the damned guitar. Stop blaming him for your alcohol problem, too.

Axl, just call up Slash, apologize like a man and get to makin' some good hard rock again. You probably don'r remember what either of you did to pi$$ the other off anyway. Point is, you guys made good music together. If you want, put on the gloves, get in a ring, and brawl it out, but stop all this schoolboy crap.

In a statement, sole original member Axl Rose places the blame on guitarist Buckethead

Buckethead's interest in furthering a solo career first established with the 1992 release of a self-titled album on the Avant label.

Hey buckethead it's been 14 years, If that great solo career you planned on hasn't happened yet it's not going to.

Stick with Axil

I was once a GNR fan. Then, I saw them one New Year's Eve on the Illusion tour (Soundgarden was the opening act and they were booed off the stage. Randy "Lefty B-tch" Rhodes was the Emcee). Axel could barely sing and Slash just skronked along for two hours. After that poor performance, I decided never to listen to that squealin' BE-OTCH Axel and the boys again.

The best thing they ever did was fire Steven Adler. I hated that sh-t eatin grin on his fave.

GNR is really a case study on how to go from being the biggest band in the world and completely blow it. It's been a decade and they still can't put together an album? Forget it.

"During his tenure with the band Buckethead has been inconsistent and erratic in both his behavior and commitment -- despite being under contract -- creating uncertainty and confusion and making it virtually impossible to move forward with recording, rehearsals and live plans with confidence."
