FR DNS problems...

DNS lookups failing for FR here - no such host. Apparently I'm not the only one, judging from a glance at the Yahoo FR board. Dunno if it's my ISP (Verizon) or what, but I had to manually edit the hosts file to get here. Presumably, if you can post, you're not having this problem, but there are more than a few people who can't post right now because of it...

Oh, sorry trying to recover from the shakes after the withdrawl. I remembered the Yahoo site from a couple of years back but, took me a while to find it as it is listed as Free Republic 2 under groups. If you only put Free Republic in a Yahoo search of groups you don't get it as a result. You get the old club that hasn't had a post since 2002.Yahoo making it hard to find FR2 club? Something fishy about all this.

Hey sorry to hear there was problems today. I tried to sign on most of the day only to get, NO FR FOUND. Ouch! I thought perhaps the folks at work had installed a filter. Boy am I a happy camper. I like to check in a couple of times from work to make sure the world hasn't come to an end.

Besides, I checked your profile. I laugh when you Yanks go on about something being "bigger than Texas". Most of our states are bigger than Texas, by a LONG shot, in fact our biggest state (Western Australia) probably rivals the Louisiana Purchase.

I found the IP address through seattle.politics. They were bashing Free Republic but somebody gave out the IP. Hah! Glad to be back.
